If Robinson Cano leaves NYY...

    Olney posted an Insider article today on the growing possibility that NYY splits with Cano. NYY could trade for Phillips, but he's aging, declining, and still has a large sum left on his contract.

    Would the Yankees be interested in trading for Altuve? If so, do the Yanks have any pieces we would be interested in? I know this isn't even a rumor, just a possibility, but I wanted to see what others saw in the opportunity.

    Agreed. The Yankees need power. Altuve is mediocre at best and offers only two things of value: youth and a reasonably cheap pricetag. Neither of those is particularly important to the Yankees.
