he played good and proved me wrong yesterday. His potential is there when gives the effort. But you are right. People here dont want rondo because they say he is a lockeroom cancer is BS. the friendly route will not get you far. If we are scoring alot of points everyones happy cheering eachother etc, but if people are not playing D becasue of lack of effort everyone is quiet then! No one will step up and be the bad guy let it be known.
I think we lost because the Mavs had one of those amazing shooting quarters. Did they miss anything in the fourth?
Lack of defensive intensity, lack of team identity, the team wins on talent more than chemistry, and that needs to change. And perhaps a more willful HC is needed in order to accomplish that. The team is under performing, and that's on McHale.
This choking really needs to end. Just because offense is flowing doesn't mean you ease up on D. They have blown way too many leads already this season for them to do this again.

This. I know it's more fun to play the individual blame game, but team defense is going to be the death of our aspirations. Anybody with a sliver of common sense could look at last night's score and tell it was a game between two offensively hot teams, both of whom played virtually no D. We will suffer both against teams who can shut us down defensively (Grizz, Pacers, CHI, etc.), and against teams who have ridiculous offensive flow that we can't/won't defend against (Clips, GSW, etc.). Something has to change, and fast.
Yes. The reason you don't recall them missing is because I think all their misses were early on in the 4th. Somewhere around the 9min mark onward, they couldn't miss. It's not just them making tough shots, we gave them a number of open jumpers. Our perimeter D was bad and I don't understand our defensive scheme against a hot perimeter team with an elite inside defender --- I thought we were going to really contest jumpers but instead it seems we focused more in the packing the paint.
That was a hard one to swallow because it was on national tv and it was against the mavs At least we haven't been blown out in any games & have shown signs that we have a chance to be a great team. Yeah we lost, yeah it sucked but its a long season & we have a chance to be something special so take a step back from the edge of that cliff Rox fan we will be ok.
We were Out coached. Mcfail had no set plays just iso. Did u see all the screens dalkas did and how they created offense. Houston needs to do that. Once dalas went to zone we didn't know what to do on offence. Not to mention dirk and Monte shooting lights out.
Don't expect that as long as McFail is incharge. His playbooks consists of: 1. Dwight post up 2. Haren ISO 3. Jack up 3's
Coming off of an expected blowout against the Celtics, it's especially disappointing to let a lead against the Mavs evaporate in the 4th quarter. This is where I have to remind myself to separate my expectations for the Rockets, from my hopes. I hope for a championship this year. On the other hand my expectations are for the team to gel over the next few months, place well, and make a respectable run for the WCF. When I merge my hopes and expectations into one, I get frustrated, and I say stupid ***** in the game thread, instead of enjoying some really good Rockets basketball, played by a roster that includes some of the best in this league.
