And c'mon now, I know we're Rockets fans here, but you can't just justify his blatant pushoff, which the refs let go, because of what happened against the Lakers (although I completely agree with you with happened on that play).
Even though there was a ticky-tack foul. James should have gone up strong and actually fully committed to his shot. Shooting for a foul and shooting for points are completely different. I still feel like Dallas won this game, more than we lost it. Dirk and Monta were absolutely killing it during the 4th quarter.
Of he makes the game tying FT it wouldn't have even got to that nobody is bashing harden for that but if it was dwight this site would of crashed by now
But why wouldn't he go for the shot and possible four point play? It's hard to follow through and get your shot right when you have to rush your shot and he had to rush his shot because Marion was going to foul him again. Melo did not follow through, he barely even shot the ball. I don't think any player goes up with that shot with the intention of not making it and just trying to get fouled. Especially with how many And 1s and 4 point plays Harden has. I'm sure he would have loved to drain that shot but he had to rush it up there or risked being wrapped up. Any ways it doesn't matter, the game didn't come down to that but it definitely was a foul. I'm not excusing the inbounds push off, the refs are because they NEVER call anything in that situation and it is just silly. The way they ref games in clutch situations is just stupid as a whole. I never understodd the whole "Game should be called differently" down the stretch.
no one get those calls in the last 3 mins, neither MJ or kobe. you just need to make the damn shot. if you wanna be MJ, or Kobe, make the damn shot like them. or you are just not them.
Except Paul George got FTs on his shot and Melo got FTs on his... Soooo yeah it does happen, if you foul then you should be called for the foul period. Especially if you are trying to take the foul
What kind of stupid ass logic is that? If someone is trying to foul you at the end of the game, you shoot the ball and you do it fast. Otherwise you have no chance at getting free throws. Marion fouled Harden, then pulled away when Harden took the shot. I don't know and I don't care if it should have been a shooting foul, but it was an intentional foul and should have been called.
Pretty much. Instead the refs swallow the whistle for the entire possession. So who does that favor? Offense or defense? Sure Harden gets away with pushing off...but defense gets away with fouling shooters which pretty much ensures Dallas the W. At least if they call it foul on the floor Harden can make one and miss one and hope for the rebound-putback...but if the Refs decide. "End of the game, anything goes!" then that favors the defense EVERY time.
"those calls". buy yourself a glasses. did you watch the game? Marion had both of his hands in his back. before calling other stupid ass, look into the mirror first.
This is what will happen if you have a reputation as a flopper and flop on the last shot...you take the chance the ref won't give you the benefit of the doubt and call the foul. Play BASKETBALL FIRST
What the hell was wrong with the espn announcers. That old pos favoring the mavericks for b.s calls on national tv.
SAD PART ABOUT IT! IT SHOULD HAVE NEVER CAME TO THAT! ROCKETS JUST BLEW THE GAME.....I THINK HE SHOULD HAVE PLAYED D-MO TO CONTINUE THE SCORING, THE FIRST UNIT WAS DOMINATING. HE BROUGHT IN OMER AND THEY BEGIN TO SLOW DOWN
Seriously this thread is full of saltiness It may be worse than when the Knicks were b****ing that Melos 3 didn't count when Harden fouled him.
what was the last play drawn up anyway? Was it actually a leaning 3...he had another 4 seconds, surely he could have taken a minimum 2 dribbles to try to create something
Harden is not clutch but hopefully that changes sometime soon. he shot the ball looking for a foul to be called.
