You guys are delusional in defending Mchale. Look at the 4th quarter, 0 effectiveness on Beverley's defense, and he created absolutely nothing offensively, and was basically a zero outside of that 3 pointer. If you think Lin has been the better player this season (which he has been unless you're delusional like Mchale), you go with the better player a shot in the 4th. There's probably no other 18 ppg scorer in the league on as short a leash as Lin. 0/5 is nothing special. Gordon Hayward got to go 1/17 today. If you take a player out every game he's cold, he's not gonna develop.
Lin's not even trying to get his starting job back. The fact that he's been playing so well is because he legit got better.
I have no problem with Mchale's treatment with Lin tonight and I don't like Mchale. Lin's performance tonight didn't deserve more minutes. What I have a problem with is the treatment by some of the posters in the game thread. Just hateful and unnecessary.
Eh. Beverly did nothing except hit that 3 point shot which was 2 more points than Lin on the game. Lin was 0 for the game and Beverly is the better defender in a game where defense was begging to be played, makes sense that Beverley would play. Gordon Hayward is the best player on Utah's team while Lin is far from that on our team, it makes sense for Hayward to get a lot of rope. It helps to prevent these mildly crazy posts if you get a little perspective and dont try to fit opinions around inconvenient facts.
Besides, Utah doesn't really care that much about losing. Not exactly fighting for playoff seeding over at SLC.
How does your rank on your team matter? That's r****ded. How good Dwight Howard is has 0 relation with how long Lin's leash is. It helps to know introductory logic before commenting on other posts.
Lin stunk so bad tonight we can smell it all the way from Dallas to Houston. I think it's time to make Aaron Brooks part of the rotation.
Oh my god. He's their leading scorer, leads in assists, and plays more minutes than anyone else on the team.
Same investigation as to why other players can give no effort on D...shoot like crap...and play sticky ball yet still log their mins.
Exactly. Lin never got a chance to get into the game. Just let him play through it and he'll deliver. Regardless, Lin was not the reason we lost today. When he was subbed out in the 4th we were up by 8.
This called decreasing marginal effect of Lin for whatever reason. I am ready to say goodbye to lin ask.
Introductory logic, why does the 3rd best player on one team not get the same leash as the best player on another team? It must be a full moon. Lol
Honestly? He's chucking a ton of shots at a low % while rebounding/passing well. Kinda like that Trevor Ariza dude we had a few years back when we decided to "feature" him. Kanter/Favors are probably more valuable. They're all bad though.
Why is he allowed to take the most shots? Just follow all your comments out to their logical conclusions and then admit you're just being argumentative with no real point to waste my time. Thanks.
