Lin in 17 min didn't cost us the game, but he sure did give the Mavs some hope. If Monta putting up a highly efficient game wasn't embarrassing enough, Harden made some atrocious decisions in the 4th.

And here's the truth about Harden's D, if you watch the way Parsons and Beverley pressured the ball and swiped at it, you can tell that the staff not only allows it, they encourage it. The only people actually trying to move their feet and defend without fouling were Asik, Dwight, Lin and TJones.

If the staff are willing to take these risks for the benefit of momentum changing steals and offensive disruption, fine I can dig it. However, I will never believe that someone allowed Harden to jack-up 4 ill-advised treys in the 4th (and go 1-4). As bad as Lin was playing, I may have actually wanted him in the game to dictate the offense (sit Tjones and stick Parsons on Dirk).

I wish this would happen... it seems McHale turns a blind eye to Harden's effort on D for the most part, possibly b/c he thinks he works hard on the offensive end (read: dribble for 20 sec, pass at the last second or jack up a 3).

Unfortunately, I think most casual fans wouldn't understand and would be upset at their star player not playing.

Yep, he tossed (not threw, not whipped) tossed a ball in the direction of a fan in the stands.

    Didn't look at the fan.
Didn't say anything to the fan.
Didn't have an angry look on his face.
    Didn't seem upset.

And got a T. Personally, next time I hope he whips it at the guy. If you're gonna get a T, get your money's worth.

My mistake, you are right. He went 1 for 2 at the next possession

and then Harden did as well...

Really?? Seriously? So the whole Rockets staff is telling the team to play crappy defense instead of moving your feet and staying in front of your man? I find that very hard to believe. If this is true you need to look at your entire staff before even thinking about the players.

Dallas is 6-0 at home. They get the home town calls. No doubt.

which is why a smart coach would have sent a double to get the ball out of his hands

Us missing easy layups and Dirk hitting tough shots down the stretch. Just wasn't our night.

A good perimeter defender would be useful, but we're currently paying for one to waste away on the bench, so....

Lin and his entire 1 freaking point in 17 minutes. AB could of given us 10+ points at least if he played 17 minutes.

    1. Pure speculation
    2. It would still be McHale's fault for not putting him in.

Should've let the starters rest a bit more yesterday. We were up by more than 30 pts mid way through through the 3rd quarter yesterday and still Mchale let Harden played the whole 3rd quarter. Boston played so bad yesterday and most of their starters played only 22-23 min. Today their starters played more minutes than the Spurs starters and they “only" lost to the 10-1 Spurs by 10 points.
Harden played 42 min today and shouldn't have played more than 30 min yesterday with the game already in the bag by mid-way through the 3rd (or even earlier).

lmao rocket is the only team that always blame a lose on a bench player, ever. it's just so much more pathetic for we got big 3 including No.1 C and No.1 SG in the league, FFS.

Huh? If you read through the responses, most people said we lost the game because of bad team defense and some blamed the refs. Only 1 poster blames Lin, are you high or something?

There are some who blame Lin in the game post, but not a lot as well as most people blame our loss today on bad defense.

    Stop being over sensitive.
