>Fire McHale >Hire New Coach >Lose Game >Official "Fire New Coach" Thread Clutchfans has become a shell of itself.
The Rox can go nowhere with Kevin McHale. Guy is not a bad coach overall. But he is not a coach can get you a championship. His inability to adjust and draw a play in crucial moment is so obvious. Maybe bottom 10 head coach in the league in that department. Guess what, in playoff 90% of the games are close games. How can Rox go far with this guy?
yet again carlisle's 2nd half adjustments befuddled mchale. the guy simply is not qualified to manage or lead this roster. if carlisle had the same houston roster under his direction, we'd be 11-2 right now.
Not only can't McHale coach X's and O's, he continues to completely mis-handle minutes in back to back situations. Why are all your starters playing basically 35+ minutes while shutting out D-Mo and keep Lin on the bench?
^THIS^ I hate this thread and the idiots that started it. Man up and accept we are gonna lose some games no matter who coaches.
2nd half adjustments? We outscored them in the 3rd quarter which in your logic i would think is correlated to "adjustments"... And its totally McHales fault for the Mavs to hit contested 18+ footers throughout the third and us not hitting dick
Sometimes it's not coach's fault, no matter how much you hate him for being a big meanie to Lin. Ban bandwagoner thread bumper!!!
He's gotta teach them how to be clutch, how to finish down the stretch. The great ones always know how to kick in that extra gear to close out games. That's something this team is missing. Learn how to have ice water in your veins and stop blowing 4th quarter leads.
But McHale has cost the Rockets at least a couple games this season so far. The Lakers game was his fault because he ran the Twin Towers starting lineup out there which helped spot L.A. an early double-digit lead(which wound up ballooning to 19). And the Sixers game was his fault because he refused to foul intentionally when up three(and the Rockets had a foul to give on top of that). You could make a case that tonight's blown game against the Mavs was a "team effort", but he deserves some of the heat for never making any adjustments in the 4th quarter other than yanking his bench at the 9-minute mark. The Rockets could and should be 10-3 or even 11-2. Instead they're 8-5 and an also-ran in the loaded Western Conference. And this is the easy part of the schedule. Just wait til December through February when it really gets tough.
Rudy T always believed you never replace starters without serious deliberation. His theory was that much thought went into determining who should start and come off the bench. And while players will go through ebb and flows to make quick changes into anything other than an injury was risking benching a player who was on the verge of an upswing turn. In addition it does nothing to instill confidence in your team. When you know there is no room for error you are under undue duress. Of course there are circumstances that change for each game but generally you understand those situations and so do your players. McHale while not terrible he is inconsistent and generally outcoached on most nights including tonight. Fortunately he has more talent to win more than we lose but he is not the best we can do by far.
Yep,he told harden to miss the ft or parsons the layup or the refs no foul on howard. Yep,fire the coach.
