I hope y'all enjoy the regular season. This team is going NOWHERE in the playoffs with this BS defense

Harden missed 8 shots but he scored 23 pts and had 8 assists. Bev was the only guy trying on D, and his 9 pts on 9 attempts was mediocre but not horrible. Jlin couldn't buy a bucket the entire night, if we played him for 30 mins we wouldn't even have a lead to maintain, there's a reason he's the biggest negative on the +/-.

I'm not saying he's a bad player, this is his first bad game the entire season. But I don't think he's what the team needs right now, he needs to be better and separate himself from Bev at all levels.

I think Asik has already checked out and is just going through the motions; he got a couple tough rebounds, but I would have liked to have seen DMO instead - at least he's been playing with effort and actually has some semblance of a post game.

Ellis really burned our guards once again. Apart form a wild 3 at the end, I dont think he missed a shot in the 4th. Not to mention we were taking stupid shots to start the quarter. McHale shouldve adjusted immediately when he saw Dallas using the zone but instead he waited until we bricked a ton and Dallas made shots. Pft.

120 pts good enough so must be our defense. i thought the reason we have beverley to start is to enhance our defense. wops, something is wrong.

Patrick Beverley vs Toronto on 11/11:

    0/5 for 1pt, 4rb, 0 assts in 24 mins

    Rockets win b/c Lin goes 10/17 for 31 pts, 5rb, 5 assts.

    Just some perspective...

we are talking about the team but we look at specific pieces, the Lin stuff revolves more aorund why he didn't get more minutes, he's been excellent all season and didn't get a shot to help them win at the end? on the other hand, howard was excellent, wasted game from him

Keep blaming the bench. I am sure that's what lost Rockets the game. It's never the coach's fault to manage poorly on the rotation. /smh

Said it BEFORE the game...something ain't right about playing in Dallas. I don't know what it is but it always feels like our guys are playing against the refs too.

That was one big collective choke. Defense was not there when you needed it. This team has a long way to go. No doubt the talent is there but they still have a lot of growing to do.

It's funny that there seems to be a positive relationship between joining ClutchFans in the last 2.5 years and hating Mchale.

Our guard play was bad. Terrible shooting from 3, giving up 37 to Monta Ellis??? Who do we blame for that one?

The offensive spark didn't do much and the defensive specialist wasn't very..special.

Not an advocate for firing coach McHale but there needs to be some fire coming down the shoot from Les and Morey. The lack of defense this team has shown down the stretch of games is downright embarrassing. Its not just Harden and Lin anymore. Its the overall team concept. Everyone is lost.

Nobody feels like they need to close out on shooters, and nobody… NOBODY decided to let these guys know that late in games…. THEY ARE GOING TO SHOOT LIGHTS OUT…. because they have the greatest shooting big man of all time on their team, and great perimeter shooters around him… DONT LET THEM SHOOT…. make them make a move towards the basket.

I just watched that last 8 minutes of that game and every single time I could tell you exactly what was going to happen. High pick and roll, Dirks man will leave him and try to recover too late…. bam. etc. etc… just embarrassing.

Please tell me why we'd leave Lin in to warm up when (1) we had 4 other guys on the court who were hot offensively and only 1 ball, and (2) what we needed was more defense, which Bev was giving us tonight? We were up 10-15 pts. for most of the game. It doesn't even make logical sense to put in someone who is stronger on offense than defense -- and whose shots aren't even falling -- in that situation.

    Maybe I'm missing something.

But that's another screwup by McFail. The Rockets never even got into the penalty until the last minute of the game. Meaning they could've played way more aggressive on the defensive end in those last few minutes in trying to contest the shot or steal the ball. Instead they continued to play soft D and let Dallas do whatever they wanted. The Mavs on the other hand were smart. They hacked Dwight every single time he touched the ball. They figured he'd either go to the line and hopefully miss(to his credit, he made most of them tonight) or the refs would swallow the whistle. Which unfortunately they did.

Not a Rockets fan, posted like once 2 years ago. I came here tonight because I KNEW many of you were going to put this loss on Lin.

Lin gets taken out at 9:17 in the 4th quarter, Rockets lead by 8. Lin doesn't enter until 0:08. This collapse is his fault? Yeah he had a bad game, it happens. I didn't go crazy when he had some great games this year, obviously he's not going to keep shooting that well but it's clear he's improving.

Yeah I'm a Jeremy Lin fan sue me.

    Honestly, THIS.
This was a moral victory if there ever was one.
IDC what y'all Debbie Downers say

Rockets played BEAUTIFUL unselfish, unforced TEAM basketball the whole game.

I hope the guys dont get demoralized with this loss, because this is exactly how they should play from here on out. (They've actually been doing it for the last 3 games. They're starting to click!)
