Up a bit too much, even over these two days, needs to settle a bit for me to jump in.

Sold 3 printers last quarter lol... wonder if that's true. The RSI on some of the competitor charts look really fun for a quick flip though.

Edit: here's that blog post http://www.citronresearch.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/vjet-Q1-comment-final.pdf . The ttm and price/book of competitors looks a lot more appealing.

The crazy thing was all that came out in their earnings report and the stock skyrocketed.

edit....I just took my kick in the face from VJET and moved on. No idea what it will do from here.

I always love these times with trading. Feels good....

Did you play it today, crazy!

BTW I think the market has been setting it self up for a correction these past 2-3 weeks. Lots of stuff is turning around to a bearish pattern. I am personally playing more and more shorts. Its gonna be good.

I traded it poorly. Somehow I didn't lose as much as it felt like I did.

Personally, I don't see much reason to try to short the market. Maybe wait for some resistance to form. Were you looking at particular industries or some of the small cap high flying stocks?

Honest question but when are they going to make a profit? From the outside it looks like they are bleeding cash. I can't see what's propelled them.

Mostly looking at the bio sector to short. Also I like HLF as a short. Chinese stocks seem ripe too. Made a lot on FU, CSUN and some other small caps.

The thing with solar city is they're adding new customers at an insane pace, they have monster customers like walmart, honda, etc along with being the largest residential solar company. Elon Musk has his devoted followers who aren't selling shares, then insiders just bought a ton at $46.50 recently, and the insiders hold a large chunk of the shares, intriguing there was almost no selling by insiders this year even with the huge run up.

Solar City I think is going to just grow and grow like amazon, without showing a profit and will do so until they are a giant utility company which is what I think their goal is to be and when they do that their market cap will be say 10x higher at $40B from 3.8B today and they will be paying a utility type dividend by then

It sounds far fetched but look at how they are rolling out in just the few markets there in and look at all the big customers, walmart is very intriguing with thousands of stores.

I wouldn't short a musk run company, the tax credit thing is an issue in 2016 but liberals love green energy and i think they'll extend the credits when the time is due.

(I'm a novice at trading) but in general, large caps outperform small caps towards the end stages of a mature bull market. Small caps that follow broad sector movement are a riskier bet moving forward.

VJET's graph the last two weeks has moved very precisely with the PSAR indicator. Every time the price touches the PSAR, it becomes a pivot point to buy or sell. Right now the price action is consolidating in narrow band, so I'm curious if it will break out up or down.

I'm thinking to get into BTU within the next couple of days once I see a little upward momentum in the RSI and other indicators; the graph feels like a good entry point. Anyone follow BTU or other energy stocks?

i added to my IPCI today after seeing the runup..

there are a lot of shorts piled in, so any price movement is going to force more buying as they try to cover.. and longs will keep buying more of course

i picked up some micron technology (MU) when it was back at $16.70, and it's up 18% since i've picked it up. there's been some conflicting reports on the projected growth, but einhorn has spoken out that he expects long-term growth to continue. what do you guys think?

they're the largest mobile DRAM manufacturer. can't go wrong long term.

i read somewhere that paying a dividend in the future would make sense for Micron

Looking for suggestions - I'm starting a Roth IRA (starting with a lump sum at the max allowed amount) and need to pick some investments. I've been looking at Vanguard 500 fund and some others. My concern is that everything seems to be at a 52 week or all time high. Can anyone recommend something that isn't already at a high?
