heh? why do people have a problem with people holding what you agree is a superstar to superstar standards?? To be a superstar you have to influence the game in many facets, defense has to be one. Otherwise dont call him a superstar.
that's fine if you don't want to call him a superstar but H & H are the closest we have to superstars.. everyone else? role players, sixth men, third star just curious, can you list who you consider as superstars right now?
Not sure if serious... Howard is hype? Have you been watching or just reading box scores? Maybe I misunderstood your post but it sounds like you're saying it's no big deal that we landed Howard, he's just an upgrade over Asik. If that's the case you're either not watching the games or you really don't understand basketball. Or I've been trolled, which is quite possible.
Harden obviously heard about his horrid defense by somebody because lately it's been sub par. Let's hope he keeps improving.

I think the LOF only want Harden traded because you can't really play both Harden and Lin at the same time for long stretches and there are only a handful of teams in the NBA where Lin would start on.

I agree with you TheJet...Howard is not a hype at all, former defensive player of the year, and his presence is definitely felt on both sides of the court. Asik has brick for hands and is a liability on the pick and roll...the defense were daring us to past the ball to him because he's a terrible finisher around the rim. However, he's an awesome hustler and better suited as a role player for this team.
I think Harden's defense look a lot worse this year because Dwight is just not the defensive force he used to be. Last year Asik was able to cover some of his defensive liabilities, so Harden's defense didn't look as bad. Last season's Asik defense > this season's Dwight defense. I think Harden is going to improve his defense with time, never be DPOY by any means but at least not be as a big of a liability as now. You have to remember Harden's role was a scorer off the bench in OKC, so he probably didn't do a lot of work on improving his defense.
Good thread. Would also like to add that if you do nothing but complain about Beard's deficiencies on this site, then at least learn to give props when he's earned it. Idiots who have no concept of team loyalty... ruin this place.
