I understand where he is coming from though. We really didn't need the upgrade at center with the way Asik played last season. I am glad that we have Howard though. All we needed last season was for Jones and/or D-Mo to play. We probably could have gotten passed OKC. Who knows?
dominant big man ??? ok the hype is real here, did you watch the games ? Did you watch the knicks game ?
if a guy who carried his team to win a championship & future HOF has a good game vs him do we judge him based off his performance tonight ?
No. As a matter of fact, don't expect too much of a high scoring game from him. He will still be effective in the rebounding, though. I'm thinking something like 8 pts, 10 rbds.
they play different positions.. tjones will be on dirk to start.. if hes shooting over him with ease then maybe we'll see dwight on dirk
He's played well so far, but other teams have not had a chance to see video and devise schemes to attack him. Just want to see more games.
He still needs to speed up his shooting release, but he looks much more poised on the offensive end this year. The fouls over the last 5 games concern me because we haven't been up against elite competition. My guess is he fouls out tonight guarding Dirk. This morning Morey said that he believes TJ can become an above average player on both ends of the court. I think that's a fair statement. If he can become a Paul Millsap type player with good rim protection then he's worth developing.
I really do like his potential versatility as a defender. Remember how Murray and McHale always praised Patterson's rotations and defensive versatility while he was here? If he can keep his shooting consistent and be the athletic, rebounding aggressor that Pat wasn't--we're all set.
He has had more dominant games than not this season. But that is to be expected being such a target every game.
the way he is playin he will get 9-11+ pts and 8 boards He was a decent offensive player and still is....
