ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Mavericks 11/20/2013

When was the last time we won in Dallas? The last time I remember is that '09 team when Ron Artest hit a big shot to seal our victory.

 

The last time we beat them in Dallas Trevor Ariza was still a rocket. T-Mac came off from injury and played 8 mins. Landry lost 5 teeth and 3 of them were embedded in Dirk's elbow. Tim Thomas ties the game at the end of regulation but we finished them off in overtime. That game was epic.

 

Must win. I got 5 buds coming in tonight and they're all Mavs fans.

 

They are going to play zone defense on us again and we need to find a way to beat that. Dallas is a quality team and we cant afford to get stagnant offensively.

 

You do realize the Heat and Spurs both played fast in the playoffs right? Heck even the Warriors and probably other teams, but I can't think of them right now.

 

First above .500 team we're playing in awhile. Real test if we made any progress.

I think tonight will be a closer game. Boston was just a practice match. Saw Lin do some pretty flashy moves in the paint and that's when you know the team is super bad lol.

thanks the signature came to me the more i read clutch i noticed that on the days after a win all is fairly ok and only minor skirmishes between the lof's and loh's. i saw that after a loss it would WW4 and everybody talking about trading this person or that person.

 

Every game against the Dallas is a must win. I'm a bit worry though bc we shot so well last night. We usually follow up a great shooting game with an abyssmal shooting one thereafter.

 

It will be a close game. The result can go either way. Lin held Calderon to zero last time, and hopefully Bev can do that too. That being said, this game is all Howard vs Dirk.

 

Actually Monta is a pretty signifcant factor on Dallas atm. he's playing pretty well for them. So it will be Harden VS Monta too...gangster defense vs gangster defense

 

But they are a defensive team!! They are going to stop you first then try and run... We on the other hand are going to let you score, so we can run down and score faster than you did. That will not win a NBA championship!

 

We're in 3rd place in opponent's fg% (behind Chicago and Indiana), it's not like we're playing terrible defense...

And there are some really obvious lack of chemistry issues (rotations, and 2 players trying to block shots at the same time) that a team like San Antonio whose core have a decade together simply won't have.

 

No, no, you've got it all wrong. If anyone is going to go off on us tonight, it's going to be either Steph Curry or Chris Paul- those guys always have our number. Although, seeing how JJ Barea has been playing off the bench lately, it could very well be someone like him or Darrell Arthur off the bench that could hurt us.

I'll be curious to see if Coach Popovich employs the Hack-a-Harden on us tonight- that could slow us down- that, or just having to play in a hostile arena like Chesapeake Energy- that always gives us trouble.
