I would think this would be a three team trade. Noah could attract that second star they are looking for potentially. Maybe not.
Unlike other NBA teams, CHI would be the one team that would have $5 million this year and $15 next year against the cap. There is a reason they didn't match the poison pill the first time and I really doubt with their tightwad owner they'll trade for him this time, having to give up assets when they could have just signed him outright but didn't to avoid paying the tax.
Please no. We are in win now mode so last thing we need is a player who needs big minutes to develop.
That and also: 1) Noah's got an injury history and Bulls are concerned about his minutes, so Omer would likely play more there even as a backup, and 2) Noah's game would fit better next to Omer than Howard's does. Noah can at least shoot the midrange J and is an excellent high post passer. Howard, like Asik, are really not that effective outside the paint. Also, Noah's more of a perimeter defender than Howard, who is great on D but really strictly a paint protector.
Yeah, the Rockets are trying to win NOW. This year. Hopefully future years too, but you don't pass up title chances if you have any decent chance at a deep run. You never know what'll happen to other teams, so you can get lucky and win it all.
Have you guys seen Mirotic??? <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/af3jTTp76bI?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Reminder, he is 6' 10" and only 22yo. Plus we originally drafted him then traded him in that DMo deal. Translation: we like this kid
Don't believe this is correct. It's $8.4 for everyone, including the Bulls. I'd do it for Boozer and Charlottes #1.
Would Asik be enough for Deng or would they want Parsons too? I'm sure the Bulls would like to have him back but considering they are a contender this year why would they give up anything but a pick?
We don't have to use the pick. We can always use it as a part of a trade package. Picks are well valued around the league, specially a potential good pick in a very deep draft.
