While the modern-day NBA may be full of fantastic point guard play, terrific backcourts also abound, full of interchangeable parts with combo guards and dynamite playmakers. Here are the seven best backcourts of the future:

    Chicago: Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler
San Antonio: Tony Parker, Danny Green
LA Clippers: Chris Paul, J.J. Redick
    Indiana: Paul George, George Hill
Golden State: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson
    Cleveland: Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters
    Houston: James Harden, Jeremy Lin
Not surprisingly, James Harden has grown into the league's best shooting guard, as Jeremy Lin has parlayed a last season's strong finish into a nice start, averaging 18 points, 5 assists.
    Portland: Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum
    Washington: John Wall, Bradley Beal

The only one better than ours is the Clippers.

I would argue Worriors' back court is loaded too.

I like Cleveland's backcourt is fun to watch. Too bad they don't come on tv too much

Cleveland's backcourt is blowing up with chemistry issues. Dions been on a leave of absense since an apparent scuffle with Kyrie.

I'd personally rank them: LAC, GS, HOU, SA, IND--CLE, WASA, POR, CHI

I like Rose/Butler. They contrast well and get the most out of their talent.

Give him a break. I did. That was the starting guard duo all last season and for 4 games this season.

OP, it would have been more interesting if you had included ORtg and DRtg, or at least PER for each player.

Sorry, Beverley and Harden don't belong on this list.

List never said it was starting backcourt...even mentions that on Portlands. I think Clippers is the best, then us/GS.

Everybody knows Bev isn't a starting point guard, or at least our starting point guard. I'm not bashing Bev, I like what he does and I'm glad he is on the Rockets. Bev is a point guard defender on defense and a small two guard on offense, Harden is the starting point guard.

I think the Harden Lin combo is the best in the league.

Chicago: Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler - 26.2 PPG
San Antonio: Tony Parker, Danny Green - 27.1 PPG
LA Clippers: Chris Paul, J.J. Redick - 36.1 PPG
Indiana: Paul George, George Hill - 34.6 PPG (BUT PAUL IS A SF)
Golden State: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson - 40.4 PPG
Cleveland: Kyrie Irving, Dion Waiters - 34.6
Houston: James Harden, Jeremy Lin - 41.9 PPG
Portland: Damian Lillard, C.J. McCollum - 20.0 PPG (CJ is injured)
Washington: John Wall, Bradley Beal - 36.6 PPG

Looks like we're number one by this simple calculation. Although I like that Chris Paul kid. I hear he was a good draft pick by New Orleans.

Agreed. It's a fun team to watch develop. I added them to my League Pass account (5 team limit). I like Irving, but Waiters has some serious maturity needed in his game to become a winner. Hence his .398 FG%, .583 FT%, and the team's 4-7 record.

He's a starter, but he is asked to do some un-starter like things. Like soften up the opponent to make it easier on Lin. Awesome 1-2 punch. No way Jeremy's numbers look like this all year without Bev. Pat-man makes his numbers completely sustainable. Lin looks incredible so far.
