It's a stupid comparison. Not the same at all.

The team is in a 2-8 hole, in large part to mental mistakes, lack of effort, and coaching mistakes. That's very different from being bad because you are a young team with no talent. Booing doesn't help in the latter example. nothing can be done, really. But for the former, it's a way to let the organization we've had enough. I'm not even sure how Kubiak couldn't have predicted fans would boo the move. Maybe he should have been better prepared for it.

So because an extreme minority cheered the Schaub injury, it makes it fair game to make wild generalizations and insults toward everyone? That's like saying if one poster in the GARM starts a bad thread, it makes the entire ClutchFans BBS worthless. You're better than that.

It sounds like some of the people around you are idiots. Or just wishy-washy.

i would go and thank him for getting stuffed at the 1 yard line instead of getting the game winning TD, therefore solidifying Schaub being done for the season and Kubiak being fired.

No offense, but Houston has some of the worst and most apathetic sports fans I've ever seen. Cheering for an injured quarterback is no better than when the Philly fans booed an injured opposing player.

The Texans have one bad season after many winning seasons and everyone jumps off the bandwagon. If you want to see enthusiastic fans win or lose go to Boston, NYC, Green Bay, Chicago or Indy. Frankly, I'm surprised many athletes choose to play in Houston other than having to pay no state tax.

I have actually made that argument, but at the same time I'm in a hypocritical situation because I've made generalizations towards their fan bases about Bears and Eagles fans in the past. Definitely agree with what you're saying though.

Isnt he from Maryland? I know the whole VA/Maryland/DC thing, but inexcusable. He talks about wishy washy fans when he probably grew up with mostly Wizard fans.

You're forgetting the years of bad football and then mediocrity before the all of TWO seasons they were good. Fans were excited to have real football and a winner back, despite many already seeing the questions marks surrounding the QB and coaching staff. What you are seeing now is the frustration of the fans boiling over because we started to believe that our team's window wouldn't be slammed shut and they wouldn't be utter crap again so soon.

One bad season? You're looking at either a scenario of the coaching staff retained and we see the same stuff trotted out there week to week, season to season.... or you see them clean house which would more than likely mean a rebuild. Either way, the fans have every right to be frustrated at supporting a bad team again for who knows how long.

I disagree. This franchise has been mediocre to bad for most of its existence and when finally a window of success appeared it was snapped shut. You're seeing fans voice their displeasure but I don't think you're seeing people giving up their fandom. I guess we'll find out next season but I suspect even after this DISASTER of a year, you'll get every game sold out again next year. I don't find that flaky or wish washy at all. In fact it's the complete opposite. I don't disagree that we have apathetic fans in basketball and maybe baseball but this is football country. They are far from apathetic they are just pissed off.
