Yeah I don't either. Ben's been one of the most proactive members in terms of fan outreach. I remember when he first got drafted he would select some fans to just Skype with or give stuff away all the time. Even now he'll interact with them all the time.

I mean I love the texans, but we (not everyone but enough) are the same people that booed a guy when he was lying on the ground hurt. So it's not like we're the greatest most kind hearted fan base in the world.

If Ben walked out on us during the game that's one thing, but he's been giving it his all every game he's played. He's done enough already to be guaranteed a healthy contract next yr so he really doesn't need to be playing as much as he is.

I missed his comments that seemed to have offended some folks?

Tate was on the radio. He said "I'm a lakers fan. They're doing bad but I'm not going to the Rockets game to boo them. That doesn't help"

    Your thoughts?

We're throwing a fit about that?? my thoughts are that our collective panties seem to be in a wad. Becoming a laughing stock overnight can do that to you, I guess.

No I wasn't answering you. I was just stating what he said today on the radio regarding his earlier comments. But what the uproar is about, after the game, Tate called the fans "wishy washy and so up and down"

At least he was smart and just pretty much avoided John's attempt to get a shaub vs keenum controversy. Maybe it is just better not talking to the media.

The fans who have stuck through years of incompetence paying their hard earned money to sell out Reliant every game in franchise history... yeah they are the problem for sure.

See you flame out in Cleveland next year Ben ;)

After the cheering of Schaub getting hurt by fans, it's hard to defend fellow Texans fans these days and anything that is being said about the fan base in general. I get slack about it from people around me, it's pretty embarrassing to be a part of this fan base right now.

Cheering the Schaub injury was weak. So was leaving early against Tennessee.

But the fans did nothing wrong on Sunday. They booed Kubiak's decision and eventually quieted down some.

Tate calling fans wishy-washy was silly. Like LZ, it's this team that is wishy washy. 2 playoff berths and our window has already closed? Personally, I think they'll turn it around and make the playoffs next season.

At the least, Kubiak and Marciano better get fired.

I think the only time you can boo is if they aren't giving effort otherwise I think it is BS.

Like I said in the game thread...Don't boo. It serves absolutely no purpose. If you want to send a clear message to ownership, get up and leave. That would have been the best way to send the message the moment it was noticed that Schaub was warming up If 20,000 or more people had just gotten up and left...not buying a damn thing on the way out...ownership would have noticed.

whats the difference to management/ownership or the players if the fans boo or leave (or don't show up)?

Tate is from VA. He should be slapped for being a bandwagoner.

After the continued employment of Kubiak and Schaub (and others) it's hard to be a Texans fan.

People are seriously still complaining about a few cheers!?!!.... get over it. That entire situation is the least of the Texans' and their fans' problems.

Booing sends a clear message and serves a purpose, leaving makes the message more clear and bigger. I wish fans wouldn't show up in the first place.

I don't see how booing is less effective than that

    Boo all you want

Because you're sitting there, still buying beer and food while still showing a full stadium on tv.

why should they fans have to leave, they bought their tickets and have the right to be there and do as they please. only those that speak up/out get noticed and no better way to get the owners attention than to boo the roof off reliant with the owner present. a bonus, those fans may have helped us secure a higher draft pick making all of that noise!!!

not buying a damn thing on the way out won't do ****, since they already bought they're psl's and tickets. besides team revenue is almost all tv. very little operational money comes from the fans that attend.

trust me ownership noticed just fine. in fact the entire city and sports media noticed and have been talking about it. that is great!!!

No your not, you can sit without that stuff. Staying and booing lets the nation on TV hear your frustration, that's better than occasionally seeing a pan view of the stadium

Then hit the road. There's a huge difference between cheering an injury (which, BTW, not every fan did) and booing a head coach who's sabotaging the team's rookie QB.

It looked somewhat empty yesterday to begin with.
