I would say Lin will prob be slightly better then Hill when the season evens out, but Hill is natural fit with a ball dominant wing player like Harden, and we could duck a 15mil bill the next season.
Top 33, (all players regardless of position) so far... http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/p...er-game/sort/avgPoints/year/2014/seasontype/2
George Hill is the perfect PG next to Harden. Pacers are not messing with that lineup right now though.
To add, Lin is top 10 among PGs... http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/p...per-game/sort/avgPoints/position/point-guards Dwight is top 34 regardless of position. Top 6 among PFs. http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/p...r-game/sort/avgPoints/position/power-forwards Note: This is just mainly offensive ranking...
Another thing, Lin is top 10 among PGs while doing the least amount of FGA. He's doing it at 11.2 attempts vs 13.8 of Eric Bledsoe. Just imagine if he shot and makes one more 3pt shot.
WTF is everyone saying D-Will hasn't been D-Will in forever smoking?? Deron Williams played 78 games laster year and averaged 19 pts and 8 assists while shooting well from the field, from 3, and from the line. The year before he averaged 21 pts and 9 assists. It is just this year, he had an ankle issue in the offseason, but he is just resting it bc he can bc the nets are stacked with talent. Will he ever be a 21/9 guy again? Doubt it but he doesn't need to be. He is much better than Lin, sorry to offend the asians, id probably feel the same way about an indian NBA player. The reality is D-Will is a beast he's just banged up now, but he wasn't bad last year or the year before, look at his stats.
hell no, way overpriced, its a repeat of the JLIN mistake, only twice as big. We need an offball PG, an upgraded version of Bev.
Because the Pacers are the best team in the East, coming off almost knocking off the heat in the ECF, and with title aspirations and they are rolling with what they have. Why in the world would they shake things up so much by moving hill?
Just because they were one heart beat away last season doesnt mean they should pass an opportunity to improve by putting together a better lineup. They have more than enough to beat the Heat defensively, they need more scoring instead, West is one yr older and 95pg is very unlikely gonna cut it with the Heat, PG is the only postion they could possibly upgrade to get more firepower, besides they dont need to worry about defending against Chalmers, Lin fits with that defense heavy lineup very well. I know its a long shot maybe wont happen rightaway, but it's much realistic than any 3rd star talks.
Lin currently No. 14 in offensive win shares. http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2014_leaders.html
top3 defensive winshare 1.Roy Hibbert-IND 0.9 2.Paul George-IND 0.8 3.David West-IND 0.8 come on pacers, you need some of Linsanity!
