You could argue the Nets at 3-6 or the Sixers at 5-6 is a bigger shock.

Nets being 3-6 isn't much of a surprise to me. I just see them turning it up later in the season and the playoffs once all the chemistry issues settle out.

Imagine Heat vs. Nets in the first round.. Nets can have a losing record and make playoffs in the East. So that means, they can rest their old players.

I would say TrailBlazers having an 8-2 record is a bigger surprise to me.

Jazz being 1-10 is the biggest surprise to me.

If I were the Jazz or Kings i'd just tank the season. Jazz are 1-10 and ain't going nowhere this season. Might as well tank and get top pick this draft.

Shawn Livingston dunks on Robin Lopez

(Well, not really since nobody including RoLo knew he could still jump off the floor).

Good for Livingston, though! He really deserves to have some success after all he's gone through. :)

The Nets announcers put Worrell and Clyde to shame.

Yeah that's exactly why I'm not that worried about them. They'll figure it out once playoffs come around.

I don't think the Lakers said that last year at all. Plus that Lakers team wasn't going to work out because there was too much of a fight between Kobe and Dwight for being the Alpha dog. I don't see that as a problem with the Nets.

Portland might contend this year but they are missing a couple pieces. A defensive perimeter defender and a defensive anchor (Lopez does not cut it). Tony and an Omer Asik would fit the bill I guess

I've thought the same about the Nets this year.

I put them as the opposite of the Clippers.
I expect them to be better suited for the Playoffs and not care so much about the regular season.

    Lakers said

Before the Season Started: "They will be the best in the West"
After going 0-5: "Its the coach, we'll still be better than the rest"
After hiring D'Antoni: "Nash and D Toni will help Lakers be the best in the West"
After All Star Break: "We'll make the 7-8th seed and win championship"
After Kobe goes down: "Second Round hear we come"
After Dwight Leaves: "F YOU, We don't need you, Nick Young gonna make us be the best in the west."

I swear James Anderson hasn't hit 35 overall in the games he's played since that fluke game against us.
