Not surprising - all energy infrastructure basically starts out as subsidized. The Commodores of the world like to live in fantasy land and just pretend its all about the free market, but they have no clue of reality.
On topic, YES! Corn-based ethanol has always been a sham of a boondoggle of a giveaway to the Midwestern corn belt. I just hope that this doesn't completely curtail R&D toward cellulosic ethanol and other types of biofuels. P.S....end the Gulf Coast rice subsidies pronto
