If the Chiefs were up 24-10 people would be commenting, but the game is a snoozer. Alex Smith is NOT a good QB and the Chiefs offense is sorry.
When you look at the Chiefs schedule, they have not played any good teams. 1 win against a team with a record above .500 and that is only because the Eagles won today, 4 wins against teams who are in last place or tied for last place in their division, the other 4 wins are against team who are a combined 15-25. True, they have to win the games presented to them but I don't think they are as good record might indicate. I don't think they'll beat any of the top teams in either conference.
that's the benefit of being so bad the previous season. Hopefully the Texans can capitalize on a weak schedule next year and rebound.
The schedule is only different by 2 games from being 1st vs last in your division. If they had won their division last year, they'd have 4-6 Baltimore instead of 4-6 Cleveland, and NE instead of Buffalo. So really they'd have only 1 tougher game this year.
Denver is the same, by the way - they have had two games against teams with winning records (Philly, Indy) and lost one of them. On a side note, Andy Reid is way too conservative a gameday coach. Didn't try the FG at the end of the half, didn't go for on 4th-and-6 at the Denver 40 while down by 14, didn't try an onside kick. All terrible decisions.
Yeah but the difference is Denver was blowing their opponents out while Kansas City still struggled against these sorry teams.
KC must be better offensively. Unless you're an all-timer defense in the modern era like the Bucs or Ravens, you aren't going to win. The Chiefs' D actually played GREAT. Manning wasn't in rhythm, and they didn't have a run game. And they still scored 27 points, a season low lol.
Before yesterday, Denver had a +133 scoring differential for #1 in the league. KC had a +114 for second in the league (Seattle jumped up to #2 yesterday). Each team had 2 one-possession wins.
