And Westbrook and Rondo are polar opposites as far as point guards go.

 

True, but on the same hand, we've never really seen Rondo be utilized in a more uptempo attacking style of offense. He won't be a shooter on this team, but i do think he can attack pretty well, and break down the defense… probably with less turnovers than anyone else on this roster.

That being said… I don't see a deal with Rondo coming to Houston. I think he changes the dynamic way too much both on the court and off it…. and speaking of off it…. with the team built the way it is now, that's a huge risk bringing in a large (although introverted) personality in Rondo with D12 & Harden.

If the Rockets are involved, and the Celtics are involved in a trade I'd be willing to bet there is another team (or a 4th team) involved to get the Rockets the pieces or players that make better sense to them in building on what they have already. Sending Rondo to a 3rd or 4th team in a deal should be cake. He's a very coveted player in the league…. especially an all-star player acquisition making only 12 mil a year.

If this happens Lin has to go, there would be no point on him on the team. as a 6th man, then he will be a pure shooter only, catch and shoot. Bev is working right now cuz him and Lin share that ball. With Rondo on the team, pretty sure the ball will not be shared that much with Lin at all.

 

Nonsense, the majority of the games the OKC Thunder had both Harden and Westbrook finishing games with HARDEN CONTROLLING THE BALL and Westbrook playing the 2 spot. Go watch the playoff seriers against the Mavs and the Spurs where Harden was their closer and best player.

I'm sure Morey had a word to his agent that we need him to play well to raise his value so just zip it and get with the program. Also the Grizzlies game with Gasol and kofus we will need him.

 

I'm such a hypocrite. I'm firmly in the camp who thinks he needs to suck it up and do his job until something can be worked out -- but I also really liked what we had going on Saturday. Torn.

If you don't like Rondo just say it, but saying he can't play with Harden because he needs the ball is crazy considering Harden already played well with the most selfish pg in the NBA.

 

Exactly. And what use would Rondo be if Harden was controlling the ball? None of course. Rondo is just this side of worthless when he does not have the ball in his hands.

 

Maybe Asik will just be Howards back up until he's traded and the twin towers will just be situational. I would love to see Jones and DMo more
