Looks like this is all settled.

Omer got worked up, now he's been talked off the ledge. Sounds like the guy just got stressed out.

Posted this in one of the other threads, but -

Sounds like Omer was finally educated on how NBA trades work, and Morey most likely gave him the option of either sitting games out, being suspended, and being docked pay, or he can play along, sit tight, keep your mouth shut, and keep getting them check until they can trade him on Dec 15th when trade season opens up.

he's officially free of "flu symptoms"

this is bad timming, especially since D-MO and T-JONES have proved them selves; where will they get their minutes...these 2 deserve it way more than Asik right now

Morey wants to showcase Asik to the Celtics to push a Rondo trade?

Perfect for both parties keep that trade value up until dec.15 & we need you as a solid back of center to go on a run until then

Sounds like a talk his agent should have been giving him.

Dmo and TJones aren't 5's. Asik will most likely be taking Greg Smith's minutes, which isn't a big deal considering Smith is injured at the moment.

Good. Playing is best for the team and for himself. The better he plays, the higher his value, the more suitors there will be.

I think this is more true than you would think. Asik will be sick again until the New Orleans game after that.

Man... it is your job Asik. You should be responsible.

Realistically he will probably take away DMo's minutes in Greg Smith's absence.

I do really hope that this situation doesn't nail them both down to the bench once again. Those two need a chance to crash or burn for a little bit the first half of the season just as Patterson and Morris were given that chance before they were traded for greener pastures.

You need to figure out what you have with these guys first before you do anything anyways. Especially if any deal you are making later on might involve a PF or you are moving one or both of Jones/D-Mo in the deal. You need to take this time to figure out what you have in these guys even if it exposes them a little bit on the negative for trade value.

Asik can help with some interior presence off the paint, but i like the ability this bench has shown when they go small and run other teams off the floor. I think it will hurt this team much much more if they start giving Asik minutes again just to stroke his ego.

Seriously. People need to chill on the whole Rondo thing. He's the most overrated player of all time.

Now D-Mo, who has been busting his ass day in & day out, likely gets bumped back out of the rotation in favor of this pouting oaf.
