[Movie] The Conjuring

One of the worst movies I've ever seen. Just retreads of other horror movies. If you are young you may like it if you have not seen the original movies this one stole from. Almost fell asleep a couple of times.

 

Completely missed this one in theaters but finally got around to it and thought it was pretty good. I love these atmospheric/70s exorcism haunted house movies.

Pretty decent movie. Had a few spooks in the first half.

 

Maybe I saw a different cut but the majority of the cast was Caucasian except for that Asian ghost recorder or whatever he was.

 

Saw it on HBO. it was pretty good.

Note to others, you have to watch in Digital Surround Sound in the dark.

Else, you're missing half the fun

Seems like there has not been a good horror video game in a while either.

 

Zombies, werewolves, vampires, The Devil. Yawn.

Scary tales from the Orient in general seem far more imaginative.

 

Thought it started out great but seemed to lose steam closer to the end. Like mentioned earlier not the best but not the worst either.

 

Yup, it was great... then the last 3rd where the lady starting being possessed and bounced around kind of killed the momentum.

 

I look for people who saw this in surround sound like me.
It makes a huge difference

 

Well this is a new tactic I've never heard of...

 

I remember watching this in theaters and I thought it was excellent. One of the best horror movies to come out in recent memory (not as good as REC, though).

But I'm tired of the "based on a true story" tagline BS.
