It was ok, I thought they tried to make way too funny.. I couldn't take it seriously. The fighting was weak too. I wish I saw more Kat Dennings and her attributes.;)

Great movie. Better than that Iron Man 3 crap.

I did think there was just a TAD too much humor at times, but that's what makes these movies "Marvel". Besides, how seriously can you take any of this? As for the "fighting"...I guess the choreography wasn't amazing but I felt like the effects made up for it (and I'm normally a stickler for amazing fight choreography...I'm a total martial arts movie junkie). No argument on Kat.

Immediate first impression; I think I liked it better than Iron Man 3 as well. I liked IM3 though (a lot). Though I did take issue with how they used the Mandarin. (I found it funny, however. Ben Kingsley is awesome)

No doubt it's better than the first Thor. I just expected more though. They could have done so much more with the villain and the story line... and Kat Dennings.

Enjoyed it quite a bit, still think the Earth based storylines didn't add much like in the first one but the off world stuff was pretty solid and fun. I enjoyed it a lot more than Iron Man 3.

You've probably already seen the movie, but he's one of the Warriors Three. Really good character, I thought.

If Thor 2 outperformed the first one (and it probably will), that should be reason enough to make a third one.

    Agreed.

Not sure how people didn't like this one over the first. Seemed like all the major characters got to do something action-y and/or got to have some nice character development.

Heimdall got to kick some ship butt, Portman got to play the overly attached girlfriend (really funny), and Frigga got to have a cool battle scene too. Overall, way better than the first one.

So, what exactly happened? I guess it was supposed to be a cliffhanger, but you'd think they would give us slightly more information than that. I wonder what happened to Odin...

I REALLY wish more (if not all) of the Avengers made a cameo during that Loki - Thor walking scene. Would have blown the roof off the theater.

This is what I think happened at the end:

Loki killed Odin. Maybe he didn't put up much of a fight with his wife dying but I really wish they would have shown more. Part of me believes he locked him up somewhere though. I really thought Loki changed :(

Was there anything after the credits??

I wanted to stay but my group left immediately after the ending.

Two of the Asgard warriors delivered the infinity gem to Benecio Del Toro who apparently plays the character of the collector who assures them it will be safe there. After they leave he says "one down, four to go"

Apparently there was a second post credit scene which addressed the gigantic ice yeti thing that was teleported into the city, but I did not see it.

******* POST CREDIT SPOILER BELOW *******

Yes the second post credit scene shows Thor appearing on earth again to be with Jane.
Gave me some Natalie Portman closure.

And the big ice-yeti creature from Loki's true homeworld chasing after a flock of birds.

Just watched it last week.I have mixed feelings about it.As someone who missed out Thor 1 and Avengers 1, the beginning was a bit of boring, but afterwards it was fun.I did like the unexpected humours appeared .I dont think the fightings are very special , but I really liked it when there's suddden humour popping up here and there in midst of a fighting scene.

I did like Natalie here although I did think Sif will have far better chemistry with Thor.I think Hemsworth performance here is allright but I'm really impressed with Hiddleston's Loki.He pretty much brings all the scenes alive,he really nailed the character and I'm looking forward to watch his other movies including Thor 1 and Avengers. As a movie buff I cant believe I missed out him for these years tho.

Also, the last thing to appear on screen was the text "Thor shall return" or something like that.

Btw, you can include a spoiler button using "[..spoiler] text [../spoiler]"
    just take out the dots.

Yep. I wasn't too sure if it means Thor 3 (clearly there's going to be a 3rd.... I'm wondering whether Loki has killed their father?) Or if it is referring to the next Avengers movie

    Thanks for the spoiler help!

I liked it for what it was. I wish it just took place entirely on Asgard, but oh well.

I thought it was on par with the first. Maybe tried a little too hard to be funny. And Natalie Portman's character was a little too silly. I'd like more brilliant, accomplished scientist who loves Thor than love struck teenager obsessed with her bf.

He'll be in both. Avengers 2 will be out before Thor 3. The next movies in order: Captain America 2, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers 2, Ant-man. After that I'm assuming they'll do some more sequels. (Thor3, Cap3, etc)

It's odd that they don't seem to be interested in trying to do a really good Hulk movie, especially since Ruffalo was so good in Avengers.

Rumor was they're working on a TV show, but between Agents of Shield, the Netflix deal they did, and the rumored tv show for Agent Carter (from Capt America), I think they're spread pretty thin there. Personally I don't think a TV show can do Hulk justice at this point.

I think they're feeling limited on what can be done with the character. Planet Hulk the movie, followed by Avengers 4: World War Hulk. Do it now Marvel. (I say Avengers 4 cus Avengers 3 will very obviously a battle for the Infinity Gauntlet with Thanos)
