Arizona would be a nice fit for him.

He makes too much money to trade. He's not a Peyton Manning that can show up somewhere in an offseason and get things going right away. There will be a learning curve. It makes more sense to draft a cheap QB than it does to bring-in Roethlisberger.

Roethlisberger is doing Pittsburgh a favor by asking for an out. He's a good quarterback, but the new rookie scaled QB's make him way less valuable.

Great, another 2-6 team planning to draft a QB. It will suck if they select one spot ahead of us.

Big Ben isn't going anywhere. Todd Haley being fired will solve most of the problem. What a huge mistake bringing him in.

Tomlin might be a goner too if the team quits on him.

It will take a lot more than what's happened so far this season for the Rooneys to give up on Tomlin. Not happening anytime soon.

Tomlin wont be fired, because of 2008 and superbowl trip in 2010, but he's been coasting on Cowher's old crew, who are finally broken down former shells of themselves.

I was really hoping they would trade Roethlisberger at the deadline.

    2013: ?
    2012: 8-8
    2011: lost first round playoffs
2010: lose super bowl (still blame injury to pouncey)
    2009: 9-7
    2008: win super bowl
    2007: lose first round playoffs

yeah, still love the guy. but the team needs a big overhaul at this point. might as well get as much value out of roethlisberger while they still can.

otherwise, my fear is by the time they build the rest of the team up, he'll be nearly out the door from injuries.

BigBen/b4l, what a 2nd half against the Lions. This team isn't anywhere close to quitting on Tomlin. He's not the problem at all. Big Ben most definitely isn't the problem. Steelers need to clean out deadwood (old guys) in the off-season, have a couple of good drafts and they will be good as new in 2015. Next season will be tough.

4th quarter made me happy and sad.

Yeah, I never meant to imply Roethlisberger is bad/a problem. I just think there are too many players taking up salary that do not perform up to their contract, but with no one behind them that can even do anything.

And then things like this don't help an already wrecked salary cap.
