I prefer jones because of his athleticism, ball handling, and quickness. Either way, no team is fooled by casspi or asik at the 4. Casspi wasn't even a good sf,but now he's supposed to be a stretch 4? Hell, they can bring patrick patterson back as far as I'm concerned. This lineup can't work on either side.

I am not sure they are the cure but why not.
McHale is talking about experiments but he is only experimenting with 'hot garbage' or less effective lineups (TT).

Another bad start by our TT....tick tock, how long on the clock does it take for our coach to figure out what everyone else in the world can see?

Worst part of Howard/Asik combo is it's kicking out our young bigs out of the rotation. Beyond dumb!

I hate that we've suddenly become the old team lacking athleticism and scoring power.

Poor CXbby self-owned once again. 8 games into the season and McHale already realizes his stupidity in shutting T. Jones out of the rotation. Even netted more minutes than your boy Casspi.

Glad to see Jones show up ready to play. This is why guys who are not in the rotation are still important to the team. An injury or a flu bug means all of a sudden you have to play in a double overtime game.

Jones did it tonight. AB did it when Beveley went down. I suspect that other guys will get their chances, too.

Yep, but the odd thing is that McHale should have done this earlier, if he rolls out Asik and Howard again he should be shot.

Hate to bring this up again CXbby, but your train has completely derailed! Now with Asik pouting like a baby and certainly on his way out next month, McHale put in D-Mo and it paid off tonight.

On top of that, at one point, we had this lineup out there:

    Jones
    DMo

    Parsons
    Harden
    Lin

^ will have defensive issues but certainly explosive and dynamic on offense

Gotta love fast offense with Dwight on the bench, and no Asik.Offense paid off lack of defense.

Yeah, although the offense looked fine, the thing is this is just one game and a game against a not so good team anymore.

The defense looked absolutely terrible with Dwight out of the lineup.

I do want to see if D-Mo can keep it up and show repeated success in several consecutive games.

Hate to say it but the biggest reason why they're getting minutes is because of the Asik trade demand. Don't be surprised if they're being showcased for trade also. Because once Asik is traded, they will either be gone or back to the bench. Neither DMo nor TJones is ready for rotation minutes in a championship contender.

But they do need to play and develop. For that reason I think they're better off going to a place like Philly or Orlando, etc. and getting their minutes.

They were not perfect, but they both were all out hustle, with very few mistakes and TOs. If that is not a sign of maturation, along with putting up decent #'s then I do not know what you're looking for outside of flashy names on paper.

I wouldn't necessarily want to stroll into Miami during the summer with tjones and dmo right now, but that doesn't mean they won't make leaps and bounds as the season progresses.

Not sure. It all depends on what impact players are available.

I think both TJones and Dmo are NBA players but not sure if they are Borderline Allstars/Specialists/Bench mob/End of bench players.

Tonight they showed they are at least 28-30 minutes per game guys if they don't foul out.

As stated before, young players need time. I think jones and donuts are uniquely skilled guys similar to cassell-smith. There are enough minutes to play those guys 30 mins each.

Were Cassell and Horry perfect players during the Rockets title runs? How about Rondo during the first title run? Chalmers with Miami?

Look you don't like these guys and more obviously you don't want to be wrong. But that doesn't change the fact that you and several others toted what you preached was fact that they wouldn't be in the rotation at all this year, and wouldn't even entertain the fact that injuries and trade situations would open up minutes for them and they might or might not grow from there into contributors.

The Asik situation is hardly something we didn't see coming... Just not this early. The fact is you and several other were wrong about these guys and where would we be now with depth if Morey played favorites like you and moved these guys in October for 2nd rounders cause they currently weren't on the rotation in October ??

The fact is the Rockets need them right now . Why can't we just support them instead of constantly feeling the need to s$&@ on them.
