They get down or pause to figure out what the hell's going on and only later do you try to get the hell out of there. All the more so in a scenario where you don't expect a sniper like you know, in the middle of a Dallas street.
But no, Kojirou, this was not call of duty with Leroy Jenkins or something on the joystick -- this was a specially trained presidential driver during the time of the cold war! It's not like they can alter videos to make different parts different speeds, so he totally slowed down, and then sped up to disguise his horrible deed.
If you look closer that "gun" is actually the sun shining off the hair of the passenger next to driver.
And to think of all that wasted time by conspiracy theorist who have researched every possible person connected to the event and looked under every single stone trying to find an answer. Too bad they forgot to watch the video showing the car driver pulling out a gun and shooting him in front of everybody.
Not in the mood to play. The driver doesn't even take his hands off the wheel. All I see in that clip is a very graphic and clear look at the President getting his head blown open and the terror that must have over taken the First Lady after having it happen while she was cradling him after the first shot.

Why does the other guy in the car not jump on the President after the first shot? They shouldn't duck bullets they are supposed to take the bullet for the President. Just for the record, JFK's driver was an Irish immigrant who only completed the first two years of high school. Before getting the driving job, he was basically a night watchman for the secret service, without any special training, and absolutely no experience in dangerous situations at all. He was also a gofer for the White House kitchen.
Conspiracy nutjobs in a nutshell right here with this sentence. There's no way some loser could take out the President. There's no way a bunch of towelheads could have brought down the Twin Towers. The random evil that is humanity must be explained, and so people latch onto conspiracies. SOMEONE with a rifle took out Kennedy. Why couldn't it be "some dork?" As the saying goes, God may have created man, but Colt made them equal.
Or maybe he left high school early to go into secret assassin training so he could develop the skills necessary to take out the most influential man in the world in plain sight.
