Listening to 105.3 The Fan sports talk about Mavs possibly making trade move for Asik and/or Lin. These guys were seriously sitting there with a straight face discussing trading the likes of Calderon and Dalembert for Asik. Are you freaking kidding me? I could not stop laughing. I almost wrecked my car I was laughing so hard. Besides, Morey better not be doing deals with the Mavs for someone like Asik. That won't go over well with our fans...unless we're getting Dirk in return. And, on top of that, they were talking about trading for Lin. They were acting like we may want to get rid of Lin because of his contract. That would be seriously stupid considering how much upside Lin has and the level he is playing at now. I wanted to call in and give these dopes an earful because they were on the worst hypothetical trade scenarios I think I ever heard in my life.
This stupidity has been happening all over the league. A lot of fans of other teams are seeing that Lin is starting to play well, and are thinking suddenly that the Rockets would love to send them Lin in exchange for one of their garbage players in order to get rid of the 'poisonous' contract.
Come on now have a look at the proposed trades here on CF, people are expecting the blazers to give up LMA for Asik straight up
I personally would love to see Calderon here, The guy can shoot like few others. Dalembert.. yeah, no thanks. Shooting big or bust for Morey And no trading with the Mavs.. unless we rob them
Rob them? I don't want to get near them! They reek with ungodly contagions, of the ungodly kind!... ....... ....... .......
It's not as funny as the mass amounts of members in this board who think we have a chance to land Aldridge for Asik.
I think the problem is you. For listening to 105.3 in the first place. IIRC the only worthwhile sports radio stations in Dallas are The Ticket and ESPN 103.3.
Floating stupid trades favoring your team is just how it goes. I was googling Asik trade rumors and some OKC writer floated Perkins + 2014 late-first + Roberson (their 2013 late-first) for Asik. And some of the Thunder fan commentors thought that was too much to give up.
