Okay now, whoever is speaking positively about Asik is labeled AOF. LOL. As if the whole LOF thing isn't bad enough.

Obviously, this goes both ways. You never want this getting out into the public arena. This has been mismanaged by the Rockets and Asik's agent with the Rockets having more to lose.

What Asik did is not too different from what Lowry did a few years earlier but no one is hating Lowry for it.

That said, Asik should man up and play, even if he wants to get traded. And parsons, the only player on the team with guaranteed minutes no matter how ****ty he plays, should just stfu.

U think Lin gets to average 30 mins now because he works hard or just sits there whining about it? how many 4qs he was on the bench last season?

Omer Asik - He played 15 minutes or less in Chicago. He worked hard and earned every minute he got last year!! RIGHT NOW averaging only 15 mpg.

don't overreact please. I'm also a fan of Jeremy and he also deserve to start.

Asik put himself above Rockets by demanding trade instead of working harder.

If any FAN agrees with Asik's decision to put himself above Rockets, then that fan is putting Asik above Rockets.

Seems like the perfect defintion of AOF to me.

Asik go to hell. and take AOF with you.

Actually a lot of people were disappointed with Lowry.

Well said. Parsons is team captain but his comments on Asik do not show leadership. This team is lacking leadership so far this year and its become a major hurdle going forward. Our superstars: Howard and Harden have to reign in their inflated sense of selves and lead by example.

I don't dig the way Asik is handling this, but Chandler's feeling himself a bit too much.

Whoever thinks anyone is more evil than Pippen to the Rockets is a POF and you can go the heck out with your Pippen lovefest.

(I hope you know what I am doing here. This is the last post I am going to respond to you.)

No matter how unhappy he was, Lowry played his ASS off every minute he was on the floor, sacrificing and doing his best for team victory. He did not give up and pout and put himself above his team.

Same with Kevin Martin. He was unhappy, so what? He played his game like a professional, played through everything, and earned himself a new contract on a new team a couple years later.

ASIK has not EARNED his demands. He already has $15M on contract for next year (he earned that previously).... So already he wants to make demands for his contract 2 years from now? What???

Unprofessional and disgusting!! I can't believe anyone would try to defend this.

AOF or HOH, thats the only reason anyone could justify this in their mind.

I wonder if parsons would feel the same if we signed iggy over the summer and he had to come off the bench. Maybe parsons should act more like a professional and not comment.

No, people who can see why Asik wants to be traded can put themselves in his shoes.

Players don't give a crap about what team they are on. Asik, Lin, Parsons, etc... they have no real affinity for the Houston Rockets as an organization like the fans do.

Basketball players want to play basketball. Players like their teammates. Players play hard for themselves and their team. And when I say "team" I don't mean "Houston Rockets". I mean the players and coaches as individuals that make up the team.

The players don't care if it says "Rockets" on their jersey or "Pandas" or whatever name you can think of.

Players think of it as "my team" vs. "your team". Not "Houston Rockets" vs. "Miami Heat".

So to the point about Asik, he wants to play and feels his skills are too valuable to be wasted on being a bench player. He proved it last year. So it's not surprising that he wants to be traded. It's nothing personal against Rockets fans or his teammates.

He's a basketball player first. He wants to play.

Pippen didn't do anything wrong. That was all Charles Barkley, perennial loser.

"''I probably should've listened to Michael a year ago when he said that Charles will never win a championship because he doesn't show any dedication,'' Pippen said. ''He's a very selfish guy. He doesn't show the desire to want to win.''

Pippen and Jordan were spot on, Barkley is trash.

I don't care what you are doing. My point stands, Asik is a loser and a quitter, and fans who agree with his selfish ways are AOF by definition.

Parsons is right. I completely understood him requesting a trade, but you can't sit and pout on the bench. You weren't feeling well? Really? REALLY? Come on man. That's bull****.

EVERY player feels like their skills are too valuable to be wasted on being a bench player. So the real question is - What makes Asik so special??

But he didn't prove it THIS YEAR. And lets not forget - he was GIVEN minutes and time to prove his worth.

He wasn't cut to 4 minutes without reason. He showed that he was only useful for 4 minutes. He could have been useful for much more than that, but he CHOSE not to be.

He wants to play for HIMSELF. Even if his jersey said "Pandas" ... he would still quit, just like he has quit on the Rockets.

Terrence Williams, Royce White, Omer Asik. What a croud. Give them their own loser team and see what they can do.

Showing Lin as an example for Asik's situation is ridiculous.

I'd also give Jeremy as an example if he lost his minutes to Chris Paul and worked hard to get it back from him. Omer lost his minutes to league's best center and no matter how hard he works, he won't be playing more than 15minutes a game after TT plan failed. He wants to keep improving as players and he can't do that with those limited minutes and playing against other team's benchs. I don't find it right to blame and hate on Asik for those reasons.

    I don't blame Asik

Parsons should not have come out and said this. You callin out your teammates in the media now Parsons? Yeah I am sure that will help you get the fat contract you want. Imagine if the Rockets had gotten Lebron and Kevin Durant and Parsons was playing 4 minutes in a game. He would not be happy at all. At all.

I believe that you misunderstand. Asik is who he is. A NBA center. What do you want him to do? Develop a mid ranged game over the summer? Isn't that an unreasonable ask for a 7 foot 270 pound center? Develop the ability to cover quick power forwards who have range? Nope. Not going to happen. He does not have the quickness or the coordination to do those things. However he is one of the premier paint protectors in the NBA. But so is Howard. That is why a trade was imminent from the moment Howard was signed. You need to understand that Asik will play to the best of his ability and that the situation will be handled by his teammates, the coaching staff and Morey. Do not be a chicken little fan running around screaming that the sky is falling.
