I thought they want to tank and get rid off Ersan since they wanna develop Henson (don't follow the Bucks)well dallas and houston can give the bucks some picks aswell.
IDk if they want to tank or not but the Bucks season is pretty much over with injuries that hit them. I'm sure the Bucks would want young player in return for Ersan if not draft picks.
Morey's trades always involve improving value, to help the team now and give flexibility for the future. And Henson is a 4/5 which gives the team a rim protector while Howard is on the bench. Whatever moves Morey will make, he is going to get someone to play C. It could be basketballhloic's Ersan + Spencer Hawes 3 team deal. But Morey will get back a C at some point.
Also wanted to say I think Ersan is the perfect fit for Houston. Spacing would not be an issue as Ersan can hit from anywhere on the floor. Mid range - 3 pointers you got it. Ersan is money. Dwight and Harden would benefit alot from him.
. . . not even sure where to begin responding to a statement like this. I do agree with your other posts, however. Ersan would thrive here; and PLEASE — everyone thinking Hensen is part of the trade — please read Doc's tweet more carefully.
Agreed. The likelihood of the Bucks trading Henson is much, much lower than the likelihood of them trading Larry Sanders. If the Bucks want Asik it is to play the middle for them. That is Sanders spot. And if they are wanting to move Henson into a starting role and moving out Elyasova it should be obvious that they are considering an Asik/Henson front line....which necessitates moving Sanders out. They're not going to pay Sanders $44 million to backup Asik. And Sanders is a worse fit alongside Asik than Henson is. If Milwaukee is interested in Asik it is because they want to get rid of Sanders. (That would be the smart thing to do.) Now, if Milwaukee is just looking at inserting Henson into the starting lineup at the 4 alongside Sanders/Udoh then the 3rd team is the team trading for Asik. And they would be sending Milwaukee compensation for Ilyasova. That would have to be either a point guard or a small forward since those are the 2 weakest positions for Milwaukee. Milwaukee wanted Jeff Teague, signed him to an offer sheet. Atlanta matched. Milwaukee can't get Teague for at least one year in trade. But....they could get Jeremy Lin. Better consider a bigger deal than just Asik for Ilyasova.
If the Ersan 4 Omer talk is true I'm all aboard. As for Henson + Larry Sanders, we should seek to avoid both. The real prize to plunder on Mil is Giannis "The Alphabet" Antetokounmpo One can't help but appreciate Doc Rocket. The Man, The Myth, The Manigault. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFGvet8ILwU
It would not be smart to get rid of one of the best defenders in the league in Sanders and replace him with an older less talented guy in Asik. Also Bucks couldn't get Teague so they got Knight. Knight has a hamstring issue but should be back soon. Bucks wouldn't trade Jennings for Knight just to give up on him like that.
This thread has become cyclical. I think it had been established within the first 3 pages that the Bucks are only interested in trading Ilyasova so that they can move Henson up. A 3rd team will be required to take Asik. The Bucks are likely only interested in draft picks...
Miles Plumlee would be fantasic as Dwight's backup. He's locked into a rookie contract for a few more years too. The Suns hold their own 2014 first round pick as well other 2014 first round picks from T-wolves, Wizards, & Pacers. The prize would be the Wizards pick. If the Bucks are happy enough to salary dump Ilyasova for an expiring contract... Otherwise... Dragic's 7.5M will be easier to flip/dump at the trade deadline/offseason than Lin's 15M owed next season. The Rockets need to somehow get that Wizards pick from the Suns. Accumulate assets and it'll be that much closer to getting Aldridge.
Unless the Bucks get draft picks in that trade that would not work. Bucks arent going to dump Ilyasova for an expiring he has great value to playoff teams. smh
David Lee, Duncan, Dirk, Durant, Griffin, Z-Bo etc are going to have fun with Ersan. The Rockets already score the most points in the league but they almost give up the most points in the league and everybody worried about offense...
No, the impetus for the Bucks moving Ersan is giving Henson minutes in the rotation. No way they get both. The Rockets may be asking for that, but I don't see the Bucks doing that.
i believe sanders is expendable. and much more than henson. but sanders at 11mill doesnt really intice me. and it indeed is in their best interest to me him if they were to trade for asik, because then they could potentially be in a similiar situation to us. i like your early 3 team prediction of getting hawes and ilyasova. my slight changes would be.. hou out: asik/dmo/smith hou in: ilyasova/hawes milwaukee out: ilyasova/sanders milwaukee in: asik/dmo/smith/philly 2nd philly out: hawes/2nd philly in: sanders http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=kraxxay
Bucks - Emeka Okafor, Archie Goodwin, Pj Tucker, Suns 2014 1st, Rockets future 2nd. Rockets - Ersan Ilyasova, Ekpe Udoh Suns - Omer Asik, Luke Ridnour, Greg Smith I think this is a fair trade for all teams. Bucks get younger with a former 2nd round player in Goodwin, a 2014 1st and a 2nd rounder. Rockets get an upgrade in defense and floor spacing. Udoh is underrated and provides great defense and can play PF or Center, Ersan gives you that spacing with his mid - range and 3 point ability. Suns get a big upgrade at Center with Omer Asik, a dependable back up PG in Luke Ridnour, and a filler in greg smith. Critique it if you want
Suns just drafted Alex Len to play in the middle for them. They just traded away Gortat so why would they trade for Asik and create the same roadblock? Not to mention, I don't see Phoenix giving up any of those 2014 first rounders...not when this draft is as deep as it is. They will use their multiple picks to move up in the draft.
