Im telling you just watch the driver the whole time, you see a gun pretty clearly, then you see JFKs brains fly out the back of his head then the driver turns around and speeds off!
From what I recall JFK was shot twice? If you see, Jackie Kennedy is tending to JFK after the first shot, which is why the driver probably looked back as well. The 2nd shot is the one that you see all the blood and JFK's head snap back.
I'm guessing the driver was there to make sure the job was done, I still believe there were snipers but I think the driver was supposed to make sure and since the first shot missed he had to do it himself... Whoever really runs the country wanted him dead so it was done.

The OP makes a great point. I can't really see a gun (and I think what he is claiming is a gun is actually the top of the front-seat passenger at that angle). But, really think about it: what other reason for the driver speeding away could there possibly be?
