Ilyasova is better and healthier. But we probably can't get him.

Neither... Terrence Jones. He's a better defender and rebounder and shot blocker than both. The Rockets are already #3 in scoring in the NBA... But are around the bottom of the league and points giving up. Anderson and The Ice Truck Killer doesn't help that.

Ersan is the perfect spread 4 in this system. Very efficient jump shooter, good rebounder, and just better all around player

And herrendous at shooting the three ball.

Which will affect Dwight having space in the post.

We are going to coddle to Dwight and we are going to put him in the best chance to succeed. And putting a stretch 4 will be the only way for Dwight to not have any excuses and point to himself if he can't get it done.

To add to your post jones has a defensive rating of 99 (better than millsap and ersan and Anderson) and does rebound the ball at similar rates to them all

However I feel millsap or ersan is a huge upgrade and must be chased

Spacing for what...? Spacing wasn't the issue at all against NYC. Andrea punked him. And that's because Howard has no post game and is useless 5 feet away from the basket. His offense has to be manufactured which means you don't rebuild the team to try to make him look good. Until he gets his post game together _ he can't be a focal point on offense and just has to play his role like Asik did... I think a lock down perimeter defender is what this team needs more than a stretch 4 like Anderson and Ice Truck who are weak defenders.

He played in the whole preseason if that counts, but yes first real game p, interesting to see if they go small since Greg steimsma is out for a while

From a random tweet I saw

This may have something to do with it aswell

Pelicans' Stiemsma sidelined for 6-8 weeks

Hinkle must be popping the champagne now

    I agree.

But you don't understand that he is a superstar and superstars get coddled we didn't pay him 22 mil a year to not give us the best chance at success.

I grew up watching Hakeem and it is like pulling teeth to watch Howard in the post.

Nonetheless Howard is not mentally strong and whatever we (the rockets) can do to make it possible for him to be in the right headspace the rockets will do. That means giving him someone better than Asik offensively to play with.

I really don't think Atlanta is going to trade Milsap. And the player that the Rockets should be interested in if their talking to Milwaukee is Giannis and not Ersan.

If CF's had their way on draft night a couple of months ago if memory serves me right
We were suppose to trade up in the first round and then euro stash the Greek freak aka tmac

Did you see McHale's face when Howard was trying his post moves...Lol.. Howard is no superstar and this is not his team. During the first games Harden has been trying to set up Howard and get him the ball... During the NYC game _ Harden was looking to get the ball to Jermey and Parsons more and was just using Howard for screens. I think he will see more of that. His teammates see the same thing we do. Sometimes he will give a good game on offense and sometimes he won't. And plus we already have Casspi _ why trade for another player like him...??

I would have liked that... And you know how Morey is about going back and trading for players he wanted to draft. That's why I'm thinking Morey is taking to Milwaukee because he wants The Alphabet IMO. And I would be excited if Morey could flip Asik for him. That's one player who can come in off the bench and back up every position and has Olajuwon here to work with him...

In no way is Ersan a weak defender.

Both are great stretch 4s. Ersan is more balanced imo and Anderson scores a bit more.

btw idk why you guys are bringing up Giannis. Bucks have seen the potential in this guy and there is no way they will be trading him. Hes the future for the bucks

They are similar enough. Anderson would have a bigger impact right away I think (assuming health), since he wouldn't have to change a thing in his game. He's just a straightforward upgrade at 4 in the current system. Ilyasova is more of a mid range pick and roll player than a 3pt camper, so he would have to adjust, or the system would have to adjust.
Long term either would be a big help.
