We have been in constant talks with other teams regarding Asik for the last few months. We aren't gonna announce we are actively seeking to trade a player. No team does that b/c it lowers the player's value and what we can get for the player. Even now we have our poker face on. That draft pick comment is to reinforce the notion that we will not trade for a good deal...which is an obvious bluff. He will be traded for sure.
You never know. Jrue Holiday fetched the Sixers Noel and a protected 2014 1st rounder (possible lotto pick). There may be another fringe team out there too good to just suck and trying to make the playoffs. Any pick in the lotto should be gold in this draft.
