@WojYahooNBA: Y! Sources: Houston's engaged with multiple teams on an Omer Asik trade, seeking impact player or lottery pick. http://t.co/yO7GSDQGFl

Would love to have Millsap. Sucks that they'd have to wait until December 15th for any potential deal though.

If Woj reports it - now it's really happening. Morey's assets are revolting.

@WojYahooNBA: That said, the Rockets should simply trade for #SFBatkid.

Not surprising. Hope we get good return back, instead of dropping value after he demands a trade.

If Morey can get a 2014 lottery pick for him, I will contribute to making a golden statue of him.

I literally was about to hit publish all my thoughts on Asik, and this torpedoed that ... I think I should just do it anyway.

Woj by far is the most credible reporter we have in NBA today! Good stuff.

Morey gaining that asset to work LMA deal :)

Could it be that the rest of the league is just not that high on Asik?

What kind of net-vibe do you get from being Asik? I know he's very media shy, but he seems like a great personality whe he's loose and a tireless worker around the clock.

Yeah, I think Millsap is the best fit if we can`t get one of the 4 stars (Love, LMA, Bosh, Horford). He has a very reasonable contract and is something like an ultimate role player - does everything well but nothing elite and won`t take any touches away from our stars.

I also find it really interesting that we are interested in a draft pick -question would be if we`d want it for us or to use in a trade like the one that netted us Harden. I don`t really think we are ready to wait for a draft pick to develope and that the team would much rather have an impact player that can help us right now. I don`t know if that is Anderson - there is a lot going on with him right now and the question is, if he can reach last seasons level again. And I am not so sure about him on the defensive side of the court. A deal with Anderson would definetly need another piece like a backup C or a draft pick.

No. If every trade involves negotiation--a planned for constant perceived loss from the function of trade--then one must start the selling price high to keep average returns the same.

Asik for lottery pick when the team's in win-now mode? Bad deal. Howard has, what, maybe 2-3 years of prime left in him?

I think this is a smart move. 2014 Lottery pick will most likely give you another star in the league if not super star. Think of it this way: Rockets could be competitive in the next 10 years with James, Lin, Parson and this lottery pick. 10 years!!
