Very very true. I can't believe an agent like Andy Miller would actually be lazy enough to go about it this way. The only thing it does is makes your client look very childish, paints your customer (the Rockets the ones who are ultimately paying him and you the agent) in a negative manner, and actually makes making a deal much more difficult. A smart agent would have simply picked up the phone to start brokering deals that could help Morey make the trade, and going to him privately. The only reason to do this would be if there was what everyone would consider a fair trade offer on the table, and the Rockets were sitting on it. This would be the only reason why that would be an option to try and force them to pull the trigger.
A certain group of people on clutchfans have an evil smirk on their face as they hope for what they have been wishing for in last two years.
But Green is not a stretch four, he's typical two way small forward. He wasn't as good at PF for the Thunder as he is as SF right now and was as SF for the Thunder
Don't let cyberx's "updates" cause you think Dwight is the troublemaker that he wants you to believe.
Has cyberx ever predicted anything that wasn't really plausible? I remember him saying we were in the lead for Dwight over the summer but anyone with a clue knew that already. His last few tidbits have been obvious (rockets interested in LMA) or ridiculous (Asik will take away touches from Davis) while at the same time throwing Dwight under the bus. Is he the ultimate troll?
I'm not thinking its such a good idea to trade Asik at this time. Especially with Greg Smith injured. I say keep Asik as a backup center for now. Rockets could use the depth.
Exactly. I'm of two minds concerning Cyberx: (1) Clutch vouched for him, so I'll pay attention to cyberx and do a at the legion of "I call b.s." posters that jump into his threads. (2) He has L.A. ties, I think, so his sources and personal preferences can sometimes color the information he reports. This slightly tinged his inside info during the Dwight odyssey. Which I can deal with better than dealing with the posters who don't recognize this, who automatically dismiss his info that "doesn't come true" (most of these posters I'm disparaging tend to be slightly newer to the board and more prone to knee-jerk responses). EDIT: Case in point right here. I think "take away touches from Davis" should be interpreted as, "Jacking up Davis' room to operate" as opposed to another player who would be calling for the ball. Omer Asik is the last player who will be waving his hands as if to say, "I'm wide open! Throw it to me!" He's the kid on your pickup team who'll do the grunt work but whose teammates block him out on offense. But this Ryan Anderson info, while not earthshaking, is credible, and at least makes us aware of actual phone calls taking place, due diligence. Beats the hell out of WORKING on a Friday, doesn't it? Btw, seems like an Omer for Hawes (and maybe a 2014 2nd rounder? and whatever else?) that sends Hawes to N.O. and Anderson to us would benefit the 3 teams better than just a skraight-up Omer-Anderson trade.
Jeff Green automatically becomes our best wing defender. Harden. Dwight. Chandler we already have for offense. Whatever Lin, Green and the rest of the bunch can give for offense is bonus.
Thanks. But, isn't RA 0-for season, foot? And I thought RA was quoted as saying he does not like Howard at all???
