Dragic as number 1 option had slightly better stats than Lin last year as a 3rd option.

You really don't like Lin, do you? I guess he needs to be as all-around perfect as Lebron to be considered competent in your book. You just can't please some people.

I'm not big on PER but great to see. Will be great to see if Lin can keep this up and crack the top 10. The real depressing thing is that 8 out of the 12 guys ahead of Lin are in the West (Which I think contributes to him being underrated.) and don't forget... Rose and Deron have struggled so far. But I think Lin can leapfrog a few more spots.

I like Lin quite a bit and I think he is very competent.

I am just not some silly LOF who needs to tear down other players to promote him.

In LOF world, saying Dragic/Lowry are superior players is somehow the equivalent of me saying "Lin has to play like Lebron to be considered competent".

Dude, stop with labeling others as LOF. To me you seems like sour guy who can't handle break up. Dragic/Lowry are no longer Rocket. Leave them be and move on. Plus where is your proof that Dragic/Lowry are superior players? On you bias eyes? Sure...

JLin is doing fine as Rocket as second fiddle to Harden. To any GM, JLin would be valued much higher than Dragic/Lowry. Get over the break up son...

Not knocking on Dragic/Lowry but how are they superior players than Lin? Give me numbers instead of bias view out of your ass.

Here are the stats of each's first season starting with the Rockets.

And keep in mind Lowry/Dragic did not have Asik playing behind them.

you constantly disregard that Jeremy came off an injury last season in a totally new system with a coach who didnt play him to his strengths. Why do u never acknowledge any of these things lars?

Nor did they have Harden handling the ball.

And keep in mind they didn't have Harden running the offense and Asik was liability at offense.

They were superior players? Or are?

If you're arguing that they are superior players, then this means next to nothing. On top of that, as people have mentioned, neither of them played next to Harden, who dominates the ball (although rightfully so most of the time), and how does playing with Asik benefit Lin offensively?

I wasn't even going by the numbers just what I saw, the numbers only confirmed. But since a poster asked, I gave it to him.

Dragic had a new coach as well, Lowry playing in a new non Yao centric system that was fresh and changed DURING the year, so that is a constant among all players.

    Great point.

Dragic and Lowry were the focal offensive points at the time and defenses game planned for them, whereas last year it was Harden centric.

I really don't know why you guys get so worked up about this stuff. I have a different opinion than you. Big deal.

Fair enough. IMO, I wouldn't trade Lin and Dragic/Lowry straight up. You can think other wise. Toronto now got Gay, Phoenix got Bledsoe, Houston's got Harden. We'll see this season how they pan out.

Lars you still didnt count in Lin coming of an injury. On another note I respect you and that you have another opinion about this whole lin vs xx matter. I see you getting worked up about LOFs the whole time though.

Why so defensive? I was merely stating the fact that Lin was playing a secondary ball handler role, not a big deal at all. I think at this stage Lin is better than Dragic and probably at the same level as Lowry in terms of impact.

    LOL. Haters gonna hate.

Thing is Lowry and Dragic have probably reached their ceilings whereas Lin is still improving. Defense is a coach thing and right now everybody not named Howard and Beverly on this team sucks at D.

I do get worked up about LOFs because they are disrespectful to everyone and flood the forum with nonsense. It is true Lin was coming off an injury, but I don't know how much or little it had an effect nor what Lowry/Dragic were dealing with at the time.

Not sure what about my post came off as defensive. Just defending my position.

And here we go, have a different opinion and you are a "hater."
