(Please Lock if posted!) I Guess scoring 45 on us wasn't enough http://www.nba.com/2013/news/11/15/anthony-frustrated-with-fouls.ap/index.html?ls=iref:nbahpts
So he shot 11 free throws, how many times did he get cut to get those 11 shots? I don't recall seeing him bleed at all last night. What a crybaby.
to be fair, melo and rose are probably the most disrespected superstars in the league. you breathe on durant and it's a foul yet too many times i've seen melo get his headband titled with no call.
Also, according to him the first 2 slaps or push at the end of the game shouldn't have been called so he could get his continuation call on that 3 pointer. Sounds like Melo wants the calls when they suit him.
As much I criticize Carmelo's game, I have to give him credit for not being an egregious flopper the way many other high-profile scorers in the game are.
You can get them, but you have to learn to sell contact better. Also don't be surprised when you get fined.
Melo likes to settle for the jumper where James tends to attack all the way to the hoop more. Its reputation more than anything. A difference of like 5 fts big deal. Although I must admit, Durant gets plenty of calls forward being a jump shooter.
Melo used to get a ton of foul calls when he drove to the basket more. Now he's more of a post player, and the refs let things get more physical down there.
NBA Free Throw Made Leaders: '03-'13 1) Kobe Bryant 2) Lebron James 3) Carmelo Anthony 4) Dirk Nowitzki 5) Dwyane Wade Oh, my heart breaks for dear Carmelo. He's been so mistreated. Spoiler and just to be a sample size ignoring jerk for fun... 70) James Harden
He can't flop because all he shoots is mid-range Js. Sure guys like Harden, Kevin Martin, CP3, Dwade and Kobe are all notorious floppers, but they earn that rep by always going hard to the basket as the first option. Melo's bigger than all of them, but because his fav move is ISO and then launch a contested mid-range J he's not gonna get a lot of calls no matter how much he complains. Hell, even KD drives to the basket harder than melo does. Plus, Melo actually trying to drive to the basket resulted in one of the funniest plays I have ever seen: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/6DCJXYbBB7w" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Lin: "For me, I get cut and draw enough blood to fill a blood bank, but I still don't get enough calls despite falling like a sack of potatoes every game. Hey Stern, if you want to expand the NBA internationally, you better treat your cash cow right!" But seriously though, while I do respect Melo for not flopping like a lot of superstars, he needs to stop whining to the refs all the time. The whole Knicks team whines like a bunch of crybabies every time things don't go their way. Just look at the Pacers series.
