If Parsons was making his threes we'd be talking about what a HUGE step forward he has made. His stats are all around about the same as last season except he's shooting only 24% from the three point line. If everything else stays the same & his 3P shooting goes back up to about 35% he will be an all star level player.
He does have a very good pump fake. Shows a lot of ball and it looks very similar to his actual shooting motion.
The reason Parsons averages a ton of minutes is he always contributes even when his shots aren't falling. He's a rich man's Shane Battier. Mr Intangibles with lots of tangibles.
Other than shooting poorly from three point range, I think Parsons has been fantastic all year. I can't imagine this team without Parsons, he does so much on every play. His outside shot will start falling at some point, and when it does, he will be playing all-star caliber basketball. The Rockets are so lucky to have this guy.
