Lin comes off the bench but he's a 6th man which is different because Lin is still going to get starters minutes.
Illyasova would be a nice pick up. After that maybe Millsap or Anderson + one of NO's backup centers. I'd love to get LMA or Love, but I just don't see that happening.
i would rather asik go east so we dont seee him that much .. if we trade him to NO then we will seee him 4 times a year... no beunno
All the LOH have been saying that Houston should trade him.. But the fact he's playing so well, you can't. His value is probably higher than his contract at the moment.
We are not getting Love OR LMA by trading just Asik and fillers. Will you guys please stop throwing this out there like it's reality
asik for green and courney lee!! that would give us a good defender and another 3 point shooter off the bench and green who is a good powerforward !!
Watching Howard going through his free throw woes is stressful. We have 2 centers that are incomplete, if we manage to make them whole we'll be unbeatable, but that's like saying if my aunt has some gonads.... Do you guys think if we have another coach this experiment might work? I like the team we have right now, I think with the right coach and another season to jell, we will be right up there competing for the ring.
Brett Poirier NBA @BrettNBA 58m Rumor: Raptors would be "highly interested" in Houston's Omer Asik, according to Sam Amico. Hmmmmm.....what can we get off of Toronto?
I would have to think Toronto would have a side-pocket deal for Valanciunas, otherwise they'd be in deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep trouble trying to platoon him and Asik as McHale did with Howard and Asik. And I couldn't help think Toronto would offer some low-ball garbage trade like Amir Johnson (who doesn't suck, but still) and cap-fitting "whatevah" for Omer.
Toronto doesnt need Asik. Valanciunas is a great C and I dont believe that they want twins towet Asik is a must for OK and NOP Adams + 2014 first + expirings sounds good to me I pass andersson
Apparently Gortat is back on the trading block. Don't know if he would want to be backing up Howard again though
I think an ideal trade for all parties involved would be something like this: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=n2nynuu Detroit would solve their spacing issues by getting a decent shooter with Green and moving Josh Smith to the 4, where he is more effective, and they get a decent backup big man with D-Mo. While both are on multiyear deals Detroit has 16 mil coming off the cap this summer and would probably not get anything better than this through free agency Boston would get a top 5 defensive center and move their best offensive player so their tanking can start in earnest now. Asik would be able to start (albeit on a pretty bad team) Houston would fill the hole at PF with Monroe who is a pretty great scorer and rebounder. He is a meh defender but having Dwight behind him will help a lot. He can play C as well and is a 74% FT shooter, so in Hack-A-Dwight situations we could take dwight out with limited damage. Also we get to keep cap flexibility as we only get expirings. If this deal were to actually take place we'd probably have to take on some salary though, likely Courtney Lee or Brandon Bass but I think getting a player like Monroe would be worth it in the long run
Best deal EVER: Howard+Parsons for Durant. Asik gets the starting role, Durant reunites with Harden and we get rid of weak-minded primadonna. We have three great offensive options. If Durant can co-exist with trigger-happy Westbrook, he won't mind having Harden around. OKC loses one franchise player, but gets another and also Parsons. Westbrook+Lamb/R.Jackson/Parsons/Ibaka/Howard. That's a strong starting five too.
