this is the truth but people wont by into it, we will get a OK PF asik still have same team you trade howard we take no drop at the center spot just a few less rebounds. The ball will move more like it did last year because it will be no throwing it into the post and asik will set better screen sthan howard with howards contract teams will give up so much more that can help this team like the pipe dream PFs that everyone wants and we wil still have a good center and more money to spend
Really? You want to slam McHale because the Dwight and Asik experiment didn't work? It was a long shot from the very beginning and most knowledgeable fans know that.
team defense and limiting TO is #1 priority. If we can get someone who can contribute to playing good D (perimeter D esp) that would be great. At the moment it's embarassing that our opponents shoot so much more than us. Usually it should be other way around. These close victories making me sweat lol
Let's be honest, McHale really bungled this whole thing. And is that a surprise? He doesn't know how to manage a team. Remember the Lowry situation? I just think we hired the wrong coach. He sucks at managing personalities, he sucks at managing rotations, he sucks at drawing up plays, he sucks at in game adjustments, his defenses have consistently underachieved.
Sam Amico "rumor", really makes no sense though when their only real cornerstone player happens to be a C. [rquoter]Rockets center Omer Asik has requested a trade, according to a report in the Houston Chronicle. Asik played just four minutes in the team's loss to the 76ers on Wednesday. While the Rockets aren't looking to deal Asik at the moment, multiple sources said the Raptors are one team that's already highly interested.[/rquoter]
I watched that game, and I saw nothing unusual. He only played 4 minutes so it's hard to get much from that. He didn't pull a T-Mac and give up on his team.
do we actually need to improve our PF? can't Jones/Casspi/Parsons/Smith fill in that role? can we trade Asik for better defensive wing? other than Garcia we don't have anyone else and Brewer can't shoot tired of watching Lin guarding 6'5", 6'6" guard
He was a RFA. He could NOT take less money to go to a contender even if he wanted. Chicago could match any low offers. Yes, it is dumb to go public. My question is, What really happened? Was it him, or the agent(s), or the media that blew it out of proportion? And I still don't understand why he was benched these last two games.
I dont feel like Omer really tried to make it work this whole season which is ashamed. I like McHale benching Omer, you dont wanna be here so sit yo butt on the bench then. Hopefully Greg Smith is ok because the Rockets def need a back up center.
