He went hot tonight but there were still a few hesitation from him when he should of just shot the damn ball since the 76yers were clogging up to prevent penetration. Nice strategy by the way as we are ***** in shooting.

He got the skills of elite but he wont get far without a slight arrogance attitude imo. The attitude of "damn you all, im the best"

3 point shot wasn't falling but he did score 21 points on 7-16 shooting.

    6-6 from the charity stripe.
    5 rebounds
    3 assists

but more importantly, only 2 TURNOVERS.

Wrong night to make this thread, bro.

It's not arrogance; it's self consciousness rather, similar to what Dwight suffers from at the line. Dwight and Lin have similar personalities: they are people people, they aim to please, and are so then oftentimes overmuch aware of the audience and their environment. Harden is more antisocial and so he's not so much aware of other people.

Today Lin in the first half was thinking too much about being in New York. You could see on his face the anxiety and the hesitation. His shots were short, and he wasn't attacking. He's not arrogant; rather he's too nice. He doesn't have a killer instinct. In the second half though he forgot about the crowd, about NY, about the Linsanity fans, and just went out and played. MSG is over with now and so from here on out we should see the real Jeremy, which is the Jeremy of the second half, which is a potential all star.

Lin's problem is when he goes for the drive and the paint is crowded he tends to turn the ball over. He jumps and tries a bail out pass or takes a bad shot.
    That and he rushes passes

Lin already has a solid mid range game, so instead of barreling down the paint and gets trapped, he should just do a pull back jumper. Even if he misses, Howard and T-jones will be there for the put back which is better than a turnover.

    It's Confidence and Race

Lin is ballin so far this year. I would like to see him stand up and take charge of the team. The reason Howard came at him crazy after LIN threw him that perfect past is because Lin is to nice to these dudes!!! I know Lin's faith is a big part of his daily walk but he has to learn to be a more cocky and demand respect from the team when he steps on the court. He has to be willing to fight for his respect. He is fighting the Asian race thing, which is the first thing people see when they see him. He has to make them see him as a 5 star general leading the team to a win. I know it's hard for him but he has to develop some balls and put his own team in check!!!
He can't be nice, point guards are suppose to be pitbulls!!!!

He and Dwight suffer from the same weak attitude, they worry too much.

Don't overthink it. Kid just played 125 minutes in 3 nights. Form's going to suffer from that, and he knows so he does less when he's too tired to make shots at 100%.

You guys are expecting waaay too much from a bench player. When's the last time you saw a bench player having to be a "five star general" or "the best" or "demand respect"?

he's "waaay" better than a bench player. just because he comes off the bench now doesn't mean ****. look at jamal crawford, manu ginoboli. quit hating

Lin might have been tired from the two nights. His 3 pointers he missed all hit the front of the rim, and when he tried to adjust, it hit the back. Lin always plays a little better in the latter quarters anyway. He is coming into his own - people just need to be patient.

The kid's OK. Excellent linear speed, the shot has improved...
Lateral quickness is the worst for a point guard since Matt Maloney's heyday, so he gets burned defensively a lot. However, with his new defensive posture, he's somewhat better, it's just that it's not natural for him and he tends to abandon it often...
The other thing, for a Harvard nerd, he's decision-making with the ball is not all that smart. Definitely not a Nash or Rubio level PG.

All in all decent PG with great first step and vastly improved shot; terrible defender but with potential to improve.

Jeremy Lin has been playing good this year. I'll give credit where credit is due. But he's not been reliable down the stretch of games. He'll start hot, but start but go cold when finishing games. He also turns the ball over alot in pressure situations. He needs to keep his confidence the entire game not just the 4th quarter
