So how does the team intend to deal with Asik from now on? Smith is down, so if he doesn't want to play D-mo would have to fill in for center which is a disaster.

Time will tell..... I would not call it a disaster but I think we need to hit everything on our 3s with him on the court.

You can only counter offense with offense when the D is lacking.

Personally, I'd rather we trade Howard. Obviously Howard is a much better center but frankly he does not fit in with the style of play this team is best at: which is up-tempo. In Orlando he did the half court thing where he'd post then kick out. That is not however how this team plays. OUr offense is turning into ISO heaven. We're one of the worst assist teams in the league. Even Lin is turning into an ISO guy. Every close game for the next four years will be decided by hack-a-Dwight. Omer fits in better with our offense. Our second unit with Lin and Asik is often plus this year, while our first unit with Harden and Howard is often minus. No PnR, no movement, with Howard in there.

Yes, you're probably right. Morey tends to be very patient in going after the right player. The question is will Asik be able to hang in there.

I'd call Philly about Spencer Hawes.

Could play next to Dwight or back him up...

The offensive is fine with Howard. The Rockets are the third highest scoring team in the league and that is with them shooting terribly from behind the arc and starting off a majority of the season with a big man lineup that was ineffective offensively. If they could get someone like Green or Anderson the offense would be ridiculous.

lol u might be on to something

He helped us get rid of Royce he might help us with Asik. Plus Asik aint no scrub, people want him and i just don't like his attitude and effort this season. He would help Philly even more but i wonder if they would go for Asik. If the 76s want to go for Wiggins, Asik might make them win even more games. idk

Disappointed in Asik. He was always likely to go once we got Howard but he could have given it a chance to work. Instead he has been a cry baby from the start and even when given the starting job seemed to make no effort to make it work and played like an absolute squib. You don't want guys like that on your team, you want guys like Garcia or Lin who try and prove doubters wrong and force a role instead of just sulking and accepting.

I'm really disappointed in Asik. Instead of playing like a pro, he is playing like a whiner. I saw him just stood there against Philly, didn't even flinch against a smaller guy. I wished we trade him to a dog team like Bobcats, or Wizards. Let him have fun with lottery teams.

Hmm I am not sure on this one,I feel for the guy but I am also disappointed in him for making this all public, but let's face it the Rockets made a huge mistake by keeping him.

His value was really high before the season and he even asked for a trade, that was the perfect time to move him for a legit 4,but now things will get kinda complicated, his value dropped because of all this trade requests and he didn't show anything in this season, hope Morey makes the right move.

Why are you assuming that legit 4s were available in the offseason? Both Portland and Minny have a chance at making the playoffs and weren't interested in tanking.

Demanding a trade would be ridiculous because the overall success is not hinging on him. It's not his team.

It's more like : "Can I go to another team pls..... I am so unhappy here. I can't stand it coming off the bench and getting under 30 minutes a game."

Stop writing the same things please.
Maybe he would prefer to make less money and play more than 30+ minutes. Money isn't everything.

I don't blame him because he deserves to start. Trading him is the best move for the team and him.
