There is no way Morey would do a Bosh deal. First of all, Bosh's contract is only 2 years and he is aging really fast. Most of all, Bosh deal could possibly cost Rox Parsons or Lin.
Trades I would personally consider. Asik for Millsap, and only because Asik is pouting. Otherwise, I'd still prefer Asik as a backup Asik for Jeff Green. I'm not a big Jeff Green fan, but the Rockets really do need wing players. And there's a dearth of talented wing players. I think it's easier to find some scrubby big man in the offseason for the MLE than a wing player that can score 20 any given night. Asik and pieces(Lin?) for Chris Bosh. I think Bosh is the 2nd best complement to Howard in the game behind Love. Although the way Lin's playing, I'd be hesitant to give him up. But that might be what's necessary for this trade to work. Looking around the league, can't really find other fits. I'd like Asik for Monroe, but Detroit already has Drummond. And I don't want anyone on the Pelicans roster other than Davis.
I personally rather target a first round pick without protection than Jeff Green. A top 10 range pick that could give Houston Aaron Gordon which will do better than Green and Bosh. Bosh is overrated and will cost Houston a ton.
Would love Jeff Green or Spencer Hawes Green is athletic and can guard the 4 or the 3 Hawes can start at the 4 and also be the backup 5 I kind of doubt either is available though
The Celtics are NOT going to give up their 1st rounder this year. While trading Green may help with their tanking. The latter I believe is plausible. The former not so much. Bosh I feel is becoming underrated in Miami. Assuming health and generally speaking maintain his play for another ~3 years or so, I'd trade Asik and Lin for him and go from there.
yeah i was being sarcastic i know he hasn't give any effort. i wrote that like 2 pages before that one
Morey's next predictable trade will be his first. He never does the expected trade....ever. So who are we not talking about?
From ESPN: Omer's request denied again (updated 11:25 ET on Nov. 14th) http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9978382/omer-asik-trade-request-denied-houston-rockets-again
Lol did u see the comments on the espn link they all want a piece of Asik Seems Morey has the upper had since the beginning I'm glad they aren't trading him when Asik wants. We gave him an opportunity to show he is worth the money we gave him and Morey and the Rox believed in him. Around the NBA there is always a need for a 7 footer and a good defender more so. So I believe Morey is just looking at which trade to make even f there aren't any talks yet. He would want to move maybe two players and get two players that will mash well with what we need
When the time comes to trade him, and I think that will happen sometime before the trade deadline, we have to have a backup center or starting power forward that can rebound otherwise we're going to be in the same boat as last year. Whenever Asik sat last year our defense went down the hole. Do not want Millsap, I would have thought that the years of undersized power forwards would have taught something. Rondo? He's got a torn ACL and he's going to be out quite some time. LMA and Love are pipe dreams. Ryan Anderson has a fracture in one of his toes. Seeing a pattern yet? We have to have someone to be what Howard is not, a mid range jump shooter and rebounder. A guy that can start with Howard and then move to the 5 when he's out. Essentially we need an Asik that wants to be hear.
This will be a rush order. Don't expect to get guys like that. Also Asik has been struggling of late, especially finishing at the rim. Also if Asik doesn't play hard and he sulks; and other teams begin to think he is a spoiled whiner... Maybe a guy of TJones of DMo's ilk, plus picks... Don't expect much.
