by taking what the defense has been giving him. Since his shot hasn't been falling early on in the season. He is using his ability to fake the shot and drive to the basket and get easy buckets inside the paint. He is also making good cuts and slashes to the paint off the ball. He isn't trying to force the three ball and letting the good three point looks come to him. He made 2 of 5 threes today and they were easy open looks that he made. He will get his shot back and the great thing about this is that it will give him even more confidence to take the ball to hoop whenever he feels the oppurtunity is there to be had as the season moves along. Good Job Chandler for not pressing and forcing the three point shots to try and get your groove back. Great sign of maturity and him handling aversity like a pro!
Chandler is playing great considering his shooting slump. His averages are right on the mark of where they were last year. Once his 3 point shot gets going I can see him averaging around 18 or so.
There are certain times where he tries to make a play for others playing point forward. Not his things. Needs work on it.
i know most are crying about his pump fakes, but they have been impressively effective thus far. once he gets his range back, that pump fake should open up many alley oop slamma jamma's for D12
all those pump fake and opponent is falling for it, i was shaking my head, man somebody didn't do their homework
It's not that he isn't forcing the shot, he is just scare for his fg% to show his true shooting. If he was so mature and playing well he shouldn't be making so many turnovers or mistakes. Just give it a few more games and if he keeps on doing it, people will stop going for his fake pumps. Even now u can see defenders closing the lane. Parsons fakes and looks for a bail out. Or he fakes and drives to a close paint. He hasn't travel or gotten 3 second call coz guys know he wont shoot it. Just wait till he starts shooting them and those calls will come back.
Parsons was absolutely brilliant last night. I think that stretch where he put the team on his shoulders and scored 11 in a row was the biggest contribution of the game by anyone. Not to mention the boards and setting up teammates.
