Really hate the way Omer and his agent have handled this. We all know that this could have been handled behind closed doors, but Omer is being very childish here by going out in public with this demand.

IMO its lazy agent work here. If he wants out he can go privately to the Rockets front office and let them know he wants to be moved, and then have his agent broker deals to help get the Rockets a deal that makes sense. If he wants to let NBA teams to know he's available… MAKE SOME F-ING PHONE CALLS… you are a freaking agent for crying out loud.

Going public doesn't let other GM's know anything they didn't know before…. Asik has been, and will always be available at the right price. Going public only paints a negative picture of himself, and the Rockets, and also makes the ENTIRE team and locker room feel uncomfortable… namely Dwight Howard. Wouldn't shock me if they just give Omer a leave of absence for a few weeks.

Very sad that such a nice guy who plays his a#$ off all year last year can't keep this in house, and help the Rockets in the meantime (instead of sulking last game and forcing McHale to pull him last night and tonight). I thought he was better than this.

Not at you cuz I bet you aren't serious. Laughing at people suggesting the Heat would actually make this trade

Good point. What we get for Asik is very important.

It's too bad this is happening so early in the year, I was hoping to be able to pry Milsap away from Atlanta, I doubt they'd trade him so early in the year after just signing him.

Isnt there a rule against it? I think they have to keep him until like December 5th or something like that.

That is true, since he just signed a contract. Oh well, it is not too far off, but it's a moot point anyway, I highly doubt Atlanta trades Milsap, he is playing well.

Wrong coach to whine about playing time. Wrong GM to whine about coaching decisions. Asik should look and follow lin's example, who has come up from adversity, never whined or complained. He worked hard on his very ridiculed shooting technique and abillity and proved the doubters wrong. Asik step it up

Rondo might be a big enough a-hole to put Harden or Dwight in their place if their screwing up too much.

I totally forgot about Asik's streak of consecutive starts was broken tonight. Just another reflection of his obvious request of a trade.

I don't blame him. Last year he showed just how good he can be and is still fresh in the minds of GMs in the league. But the longer he stays out and has less playing time, then his value will begin to drop. Not to mention his skills.

It's understandable that he and his agent would be worried.

Why not? Makes perfect sense for both teams.

The heat would LOVE to get their hands on Asik. They would definitely consider an Asik for Bosh deal. May not pull the trigger though based on what the other filler would be.

asik was healthy and just looked pissed off, rolling his eyes, shaking his head. lost alot of respect for him these past few games. I really had him in the same category as chuck hayes and landry. Well, just put him in the Lowry file then
