The guy who anchored our defense last year and singlehandedly made our defense respectable?

 

Mchale finally got it - foul, save your self an OT. Someone could get a career-ending injury in OT. Might as well foul.

Funny if this becomes McHale's pet move. Maybe he and Morey did the calculations after the last few games.

Thankfully Harden played this game. Was money even with his injuries healing. Beard, James Beard.

Lin - 00-700 Club.

Always nice to beat the Knicks at MSG. Should have let DMo spar off against Bargi for a while when Howard went out.

 

Agreed! Terrence Jones did an outstanding job defensively on Melo & Rudy Gay... very good lateral movement. He contested everything, all you can ask. TJ is growing.

 

Asik's defense on bigs on the perimeter was actually elite. Go to youtube and search for Asik's defense footwork.

It is unfortunate that the TT did not work out. We really could use Asik in this team. Unless TJones's interior defense becomes serviceable, we are going to have a tough season against teams with a strong C and strong PF.

Can I use Asik on defense and change his name to TJones on the offense????

 

Tough situation for Asik.....when you have arguable the number center in the league come to your team it's tough.

 

I love Asik but he refuses to play off the bench and help us win a championship. He won't play to force us trade him and he don't want to risk getting injured b4 a trade

Pretty happy with how the game turned out considering how gassed the Roster was looking. I wasn't expecting a lot of 3's to fall considering the minutes played in Philly and that the team wasn't shooting well from 3 already.

I'm the most happy with McHale pulling Howard for 1:17s as soon as they started hacking Howard and fouling on the inbounds. The only thing I can nitpick about that is Harden should have wrapped him up.

As for how Lin can be -2, it's because he can be overlapping with people shooting poorly who overlap with people making buckets (like Harden or Lin). So let's say Casspi comes in, Lin scores 4 quick points... now Casspi goes out. Now Garcia comes in and bricks and the Knicks score... now Lin is +-0, and Casspi is +4. If Lin then goes out and Harden scores 6 now Garcia is +2 and the only person without a good +- is Lin.

+- within a single game is terrible because players with larger minutes can get really screwed as they overlap with the bench. It's more useful within a single game if you have mostly discrete units versus positional switches.

If you use +- over a ton of games, then it tends to even out. That's why stat heads say to ignore +- for the most part unless the +- is VERY large.

 

There is nothing wrong with Bevs shooting form. He is going through a shooting slump and having a bad pec injury does not help someones shooting release. He was killing it in the preseason.Harden's 3 is off to, but once he adjusts his range better he will be unstoppable.

 

It's customary to sit someone right before you trade them so they don't get injured. In this case, could be tomorrow, could be several weeks. See what happens.

I don't like Mchale at all but I admit he did alright tonight, definitely better than Woodson.

 

And Rocket's continue to be hated by everyone else in the world..

 

Parsons had the best game tonight. Harden and Lin were good, not enough assists from both of them and poor late game offensive execution from both of them. Both good on D, some drifting from Lin but not too bad. Harden scored efficiently. But Parsons played the best game overall.

 

He does better on that. You will be amazed on how good Asik's footwork is.

Its very simple look at the +/- of every game Bev has started until he goes to the bench. We are never leading in scoring therefore we are - in the +/-. Lin and usually Casspi come in off the bench we get the lead and are +. Do u want me to me to teach u how to breathe next
