ahaha. heh. ahahahahaha! it'll be a cold day in hell before morey gets bent over by a role player. Asik can pout on the bench for the rest of the season - if the value isn't there, Morey won't trade him.

So, Asik is making a choice not to give full effort because of the situation? What is this...romper room? The guy makes millions to play a game already.
Yeah Asik and Howard are both bad at the FTs... but Dwight was practicing every day in training camp.... it's just not working
Doubt the trade happens before Dec. 15. I don't know of any realistic players we would be willing to trade Asik for. Brewer/Brooks aren't able to be traded till then and I figure those are who most likely on their way out with him.
teams that need a center: atl, bos, cha, cle, dal, den, lal, mil, nop, nyk, okc, pho, por, sas. nearly half the league. of those, only boston and phoenix wouldn't want to make the playoffs this year. so of the remaining 12, who's got either a spread 4 or an above average pg that they would want to trade for asik? atl, lal, mil, nop on principle, i don't think the lakers would make any trade with the rockets. it looks like it would be straight up for milsapp, illyasova, or anderson... or we could look for good young pieces to move in a 3 team trade. which one of the above teams would want asik and have good young pieces to move? cha, nop, nyk MKG, evans, shumpert would all be pretty fair give or take fillers on either side. then we'd have to move them in a 3 team deal for an upgrade at PF or PG. so what teams would use these guys that also have an upgrade at PF or PG for us? bos, phily rondo, and hawes would be interesting. the sixers would take shumpert to make a great young backcourt with MCW and can go back to tanking. hawes gives us a spread 4 on offense, but TT on defense. tanking or not, good young bigs are hard to find and i doubt phily bites on this for any of these young wing players. rondo is a legit 3rd star, but do you really want a PG who can't shoot 3's OR ft's next to dwight? plus we'd have to pony up a few picks to go with MKG, shumpert, or evans. not to mention that he HAS to have the ball in his hands to be successful, which will clash with harden. 3 team options are really limited, although just for the star power and controlling the ball at a championship level, rondo does interest me. i still doubt it happens this way. 1-1 trades are underwhelming as well. illyasova and anderson? very similar to parsons and casspi in the twiner forwards who can shoot except they are both better rebounders which i guess would justify the trade. the best player i think we can realistically hope for is milsapp. probably even better than rondo when we talk about a fit for this team. he, illyasova, and anderson all rebound about the same. the last two are much better shooters, but i like milsapps ability to get assists, and his defense and post play are something that we need. that being said, if the hawks aren't interested, it won't be anderson... asik is moving back east where this trade can't bite us in the ass. either milsapp straight up or illyasova and a pick.
He said if McHale wasn't fired he would want a trade to the Chron. Toronto trade came soon after that as I recall
