IF a trade is to be made I hope it is with a team from the Eastern Conference. Millsap, Green, Bosh, Ilyasova?

Rondo doesn't play off the ball, he's a ball dominant guard. Rondo can't do what Lin is trying to do when Harden's on the floor.

Either he or Harden is going to have a tougher time adjusting to the other.

And then there's the Hack-A-Rondo, and Rondo's knee injury to worry about.

Boston is in rebuilding mode and they want to rebuild around Rondo. They don't want a role player in return. They want another star to build around. You can't build a team around Asik.

Lin + Asik for Rondo + Bogans is the most probable thing I can think Boston might agree to and even then I think that's a terrible deal for everyone involved.

If we can get rondo for asik, you do it. 10 times out of 10 you do it, when you have Howard as your starting C already.

Rockets need a stretch 4. I would look into Bargnani. Maybe send Asik/Lin for Bargnani/Felton.

Rondo isnt even playing yet and no way Celtics will trade him to the Rockets.

I actually would really welcome a ball dominant point gaurd like rondo.

Only as long as he doesn't defer to harden. Im tired of the harden iso's, over dribbling and turnovers. Harden works way to hard when creating his shots. Hes going to completely burn him self out by the time he's 28-30 by trying to pull 25-30 points out of his ass everynight.

I want a real point guard, i want him to run plays(McHale needs to start running more plays), i want harden to get open shots without running around and using all of his energy to get open just to end up half the time taking bad/contested shots at the end of the shot clock.

A real pg might fix alot of the problems we have on offense, a point guard like rondo would also do a lot with setting up howard.

I'm game for packaging Asik in a trade with a few other Rockets players (any of the ones who don't play defense...hmm) to land someone big. Originally, I wanted to keep him and the twin towers peaked my interest. But, I just don't think that works offensively and may not even work defensively. The problem is Asik is wasted on the bench and he won't get enough minutes in a back-up role. He really needs to be a starter but we need a serious starter in return for him.

Yeah, it's actually absolutely imperative that our PG be able to knock down jumpers. I think that's why the Beverly experiment is not working out as well as planned. And I love Rondo, I think he's a top 5 PG but right now our perimeter shooting and free throw shooting is bad enough without adding Rondo to the mix.

And where does anyone get that Asik wants to start more than he wants to be on a winning team?

The assists would be much higher if the shots were falling. Our 3% this year is way way down. We are below average right now when we should be above average (if you top 5!).

rondo would improve our slashing plays and more lobs to dwight...no shooting though....only harden drives and can finish to the basket...the rest of our players are jump shooters
