Went to sleep thinking McHale should be fired and have got up no different. In fact I said it years back that he needs to be fired. Wrong wrong hire from the start.

Get in JVG, SVG, Karl or Hollins

You think Morey would even consider a coach who was let go for ignoring anything stats related?

What about Jerry Sloan of the former Utah Jazz.... is he available?

If he is, we should take him to teach this team the fundamental of pick and roll, pick and slip, the two man game etc etc.

McHale is just aaargh. I dont even have words to describe his coaching.

Players are playing their legs out with our shortened rotation. In game adjustments are no where to be found. We dont have end game x and o plays. I mean where is that? Don'[t we have an offensive assistant coach and a defensive assistant coach to put some inputs as well?

I'd take Sloan if he's available. The only problem would be Dwight if he would be willing to PnR.

I would like to give one of the Van Gundy's a shot, although both are a long shot for two totally different reasons. My consolation coach would be the Zen Master, if only because he has a track record of coaching superstars. I just hope this doesn't become a "Kubiak", and the owner doesn't see the trees because of the forest! Get'r done Morey!

i think at this juncture, getting another star player would worsen the problem as he will only be mismanaged by our incompetent coaching staff.

I hope we go on a big losing streak so there's no other option but firing him, because everybody objectively can state McHale has some big flaws and apparently even management was not happy with him last year. He still has one more year on his contract so my bet is he will be let go unless Howard demands he stays, which I think he will. If that's the case, then throw both of them out of here.

that would be one prob, but if we are to trade asik with a stretch 4 who could move strong to the basket, we will have our own version of karl malone, and we have harden and lin to be our stocktons.

then if we have dwight buy into the pnr system it'd be more unstoppable.

Howard won't demand that McHale stays. Why would he?

    DH12: "What? Fire Coach McHale? That's outrageous, that's b.s., that's..."

Morey: "Dwight, meet your new coach, Lionel Hollins (or) George Karl."

DH12: "Daryl, you're a genius, this is great, finally, a real coach..."

I've been feeling this for awhile but with his daughter's death, I've given him a pass. A year has passed and now it's time to get on with life. McHale needs to be replaced.

Lionel Hollins, George Karl, or Jeff Van Gundy.

either one of these guys will be great. George Karl especially

Yeah, The Grizzlies are a mess without Hollins this year. I can't believe the same team is so bad defensively this year when they were a dominant defensive force. Just goes to show defensive systems are so important and we need one instilled on this team fast.

Lionel Hollins is the anti-analytics coach. We wouldn't bring him in if he offered to work for free.

I like all the coaches presently available. Hollins, Sloan, Karl and the Van gundy bros., but there are somethings that makes me hesitant.

Sloan is pretty old, I'm worried about his age. How many years does he have left as a coach? Plus, he is old school, he doesnt deal with any kind of nonsense. He quit his job rather than to deal with Deron Williams. What do you think he's going to do when he has to deal with two divas in Harden and Howard.

Besides, he doesnt believe in advanced analytics. His teams always ranked near the bottom in 3 point attempts, thats the rockets bread n butter. Perhaps the most disturbing thing was he NEVER watched game film to study his opponents.

Hollins is another non believer in advanced analytics. Probably wont get along with Morey.

    Karl is a playoff choker.

Stan van gundy is a fine coach but I'm worried of the Dwight drama that might come of it. I know they said they have remained close friends but still...

Jeff van gundy was a great defensive coach but his offense was just putrid. The offense was so slow and so predictable. I used to have how he would always play his veteran scrubs like Ryan bowen, weatherspoon, oakley.

These available coaches although they have flaws are for sure a better upgrade than what we have right now.

LOLz. And look where the Grizzlies are this year. He took them to the WCF 6 monte ago!

Besides, where's the evidence that McHale's an analytic coach? Good coaches don't need stats to know TT was a farce.

So yea, my vote's for Hollins.
