Although getting rid of Lin seems like the obvious answer to the question. If you have to get rid of one, who do you get rid of? It really depends on what you can get in return. If you can get Paul George for Harden, then Harden is the answer. In general, its harder to improve over Harden because he is a top 10 player. Harden is a little banged up right now and is not playing as efficiently as he can so emotions are running high on a team that is still trying to gel. The dislike of LOFs and Lin is a little bit like the dislike for Obama by Republicans. They claim that its because of Obamacare put in the end the majority of them really hate him because he is black. If your angry about something, look in the mirror. It probably means you don't get enough pu**y.

Let's please not conflate personal politics into this discussion. As if Lin isn't polarizing enough...
1. Lin can get back to the bench as 6th man and Parsons could start. 2. George is one of the best wing defenders in the league and could easily guard the hottest opposition wing player. Harden for George makes the Rockets so much better simply because George is the much better player. We have no problem putting up points. The issue is on D and George is 100 times the defender Harden is It also works for Indy as they need a 2nd ball handler but I doubt they would take Harden for George as they know Harden is the inferior player while George the better and younger player.
how do you even quantify that Paul George is 100 times the defender Harden is? are you saying if George allows his opponent to score 10 pts then Harden allows his opponent to score 100 pts?

Look the Rockets have never had trouble putting up points. Problem has been on D and George is an elite wing defender who will help immediately. Not to mention he is a very good offensive player. George is the better player and better fit.
