I'm imagining this team run by JVG...

players would know more defined roles, but unlike past JVG teams our players are more dynamic so the offense wouldn't stagnate as much as it used to.

and the defense, of course. he sounds like hes annoyed with mike breen.. lets bring him back

I love JVG, but if you think the offense has been ugly so far, you want no part of JVG slow-down basket-brawl.

I don't know if Jeff wants to come back. He looks happy with his broadcasting job.

Besides do you think Dwight would be happy if they fired McHale, who he wants to learn under, and to be coached by another Van Gundy?

somethings clearly wrong with our defensive mindset..

these players are gifted offensively for the most part, so they will score.

defensive discipline is lacking right now

If you think any coach can **** up an offense more than mchale, you've not been watching our game.

JVG would be great at this point. We would be championship contenders then...

As much as I am a big fan of JVG, I think the more immediate need is experience/chemistry rather than a new coach. In the long run though, that is a different matter....

JVG would make a GREAT assistant coach if we have an offensive-minded coach like Rick Adelman. Otherwise it won't work considering Dwight has no reliable post move.

This thread is making me lol so hard.

First the fire JVG threads. Then the fire Adelman and rehire JVG threads. Now the fire McHale and rehire JVG or Adelman thread. I love it.

dwight has reliable post moves.. hes patrick ewing level.. and JVG coached that team to the finals.

yao had injury issues but JVG made him dominant.

dwight is doing his thing now with mchale but JVG will put him in better situations to succeed. team defense will get better.

    T. Jo would never play b/c JVG would have Juwan Howard out there in a wheel chair before that would happen.

Whatever . Time waits for no man. If Mchale stay here till Dec then we are done with this year. Even JVG can't save us ass. Good luck Morey and Rox .

I'd take JVG in a heartbeat. He'd have a more structured offense and get our guys to compete defensively.

He got Tmac to play defense, that says a lot.
